Chapter 26

I wake up after about 4 hours, I was feeling a bit better but everything is still a bit confusing to me, I don't know where my friends are and I don't know if they are OK and that is very scary, my mom only told me that there was an explosion at the school, not where in the school it was, or if it was a man made bomb or just some mistake that happened. 

I am alone in the room and I can't move at all, my leg is covered all the way up to my thigh in a think bandage and I guess it will be like that for a while, but my back hurts me so bad, I can't move it at all, every little movement hurts so I just lay there and think if I should even move to try to get my phone from the table, or just wait for someone to come in there so I can ask for help, I then spot a red bell sign button next to my bed and that is in my reach so I press that and a nurse is there within a minute off me buzzing her in. 

"are you OK?" she asks me with a warm smile as she looks me over 

"yeah, can you hand me my phone, I can't reach it, my back" I ask her as I look down, I don't want to be a bother, and I don't want to be this weak, but I just can't move my back without it screaming at me. 

"here you go, do you need more pain meds, or anything to eat, you have not eaten all day" she tells me and I look at the time, it's almost 2 in the morning, I never even made it to lunch so I've not eaten a thing since 6:30am yesterday morning. 

"maybe a sandwich or something, I'm not to hungry, and just some water" I smile at her

"sure thing, I will be back in just a few more minutes, try to get some rest after you've eaten OK"

"OK" I just tell her as I open my phone, disappointed that Simon has not answered me on any social media, he might have lost his phone or it could have gotten ruined, or maybe he is injured to, I can't think about that, that just makes me to upset, I don't want him to be hurt, I don't want to see him hurt. But I need to know, I also need to know where Vikk is, I need to know if they are OK. 

I then send the same text to both Vikk and Simon, I don't want to call, it's late, I will try again in the morning if I've not heard anything.
