"Ashley stop stepping on my foot!"
"Ashton I'm not even close to you."
"Then who is that?"
"Your friend Allie, Nice to meet you." I said, fake enthusiasm dripping from my tone.
"It's dark in here." He stated flatly.
"How observant," said his sister.
"Haha, very--"
"Guys for heaven's sake shut up so we won't get caught as usual." I semi- yelled at them. Hissed, yes, that's the word.
That shut them up. for now. I thought.
We decided to wait until the night's absolute darkness took control of Angelina's sky so we can sneak into the castle ergo my room to get the white paint that we left in there.
It was scary enough that the black paint won't come out of our feathers, so we didn't want to get caught, because honestly, I have nothing in my defense.
We tried everything to get rid of the color, every other trace of the Devil's disguise was gone; my hair was bleached back, I removed that make-up thing from my face --so did the twins-- my clothes were back on, you name it. But my wings? Oh, they were pitch black.
Why? You tell me.
But I might have the slightest idea.
Once every source of light in Angelina was gone, we got in action. Making my way to my room after coming back into Angelina-- since I left for Nowhere a couple of times now-- But this time, boy was it hard. You don't usually witness black winged Angels walking in the middle of the castle, and I've caused enough scandals for my poor father already.
There wasn't much light out there yes, but the castle still had lighting, lurking at every meter a few torches and a couple more, and a couple more......
We did our best to hide our wings in too, that we did. But it wasn't easy, because yes, you're not always parading with you're wings poking out --we wouldn't have enough space to live if that was the case-- But when they were huddled in they weren't that invisible but not easy on the eye either.
So we basically spent the whole day up on the roof until every soul in this city was fast asleep. Half the way to my room I heard noises from my brother's room, I knew the voice; it was my father's. Before he can get out the room and bust us, we sprinted.
I opened the door that led to my room quickly and got in first, following by the twins. Once we were all inside I closed the door quite violently-- which I regretted post doing it-- I ran towards the white paint bowl quickly and into the bathroom.
"Ashton lock the door," I said as I went out to grab the brush then back in. I didn't hear his response, but I did hear the door, though.
"Ashley!" I yelled. getting out of the bathroom, I motioned for her to get my way.
"Yes?" She asked.
"Come in here," She obliged, I pulled her arm rapidly, "We do not have all day."
I heard Ashton snort, Ignoring him I went and grabbed the white paint raising it to my gaze. I checked the expiration date just in case, and when I noted that it's still too early I relaxed a bit.
