"Allie, we are just..." He started getting up and motioning towards the door. "Gonna come at another time, alright."
I nodded, "Okay, I'll send you guys a missive when I'm free." I said while they got past the living room's door, with Andrew standing by the door-frame.
"She never writes." I heard Ashton mutter to his sister while in the hallway.
"HEY! I call you guys often!" I yelled back at him.
I heard him chuckle. "Bye Allie." They said while closing the door.
"So....brother," I said diverting my attention back at him. "What's up?"
"Not good stuff. Definitely not good stuff." He said pacing around the room, then he settled down on the couch beside me.
I nodded for him to continue talking, which he did.
"So I went to talk to dad and-" he suddenly took a long, deep inhale. "Okay Allie, I probably shouldn't be telling you this -- because he told me not to -- but I'm going to do it anyways. Not because I promised you, but because-well nevermind." He shook his head.
I nodded at him, which he took as a sign to continue. "Okay, so apparently dad didn't want you to know this so you wont freak out-but here I am," he started. "So I'm just going to give it to you straight alright?"
"Andrew, Just say it already!" I spat at him clearly pissed. He was killing me, He nodded with a nervous-awkward chuckle.
"So the last time an Angel had dreamt of a thing as such, was well, a long time ago- at war-time actually."
"Coincidence?" I asked with a raised eyebrows, he shook his head at me.
"No Allie, we barely get nightmares -- and by we I mean Angels. So when you, out of nowhere, receive one, all of a sudden it means something, okay?" his words didn't make any sense to me, I mean it's just a dream, yes a bone chilling one- but a dream afterall. What does that got to do with the war or anything that serious. "And especially these kinds of nightmares."
We fell into a complete and utter eerie silence. I was thinking about what he said through, I mean my dad is the king after all, I'm sure he knows what he is talking about, right?
"So," I broke the silence. "The last person who had nightmares here in Angelina....." I asked out of curiosity, "What happend?" I lowered my voice at the last part.
"Well I'm just going to tell you what he told me. Because at that time I was basically 5 when it happened, so I can't actually remember a thing." he started, "So it was some normal teenage girl, just like you but unlike you when she got those nightmares she freaked out. So when she informed her parents- or more like when they heard her constant screaming occasionally due to the nightmares- they came down here to meet dad, because he is the king and whatnot," he paused for a while, "yeah... where was I; oh yeah okay, so they told dad about them- the nightmares, that is- then there is the fact that they were pretty much the same thing you dreamt of, running in Nowhere with a Devil hot on your heels. Plus, the loud screaming. Same thing as I mentioned."
"Dad didn't give much thought about it, just like you did, saying it's just a dream and how bad a dream is. Saying it won't cause any harm. Little did he know, because not a couple days later, when the Demons entered Angelina and started an unannounced war......well, half of the Angels were killed in that vulgar incident. That was all what dad told me, plus the 'dont tell your little sister about this so she won't freak out' part."
