"UM....Dylan, is Dora's friend deaf?" Asked the she-devil.
"Um no?" I guess Dylan is as confused as I am, "Why though?" He asked on my behalf.
"Well she hasn't uttered a single word ever since I entered the room."
"You have that effect on people." He stated. She scowled at him.
"Shut up you disgraceful child!" she turned around and faced me again, this time with a tight lipped, forced smile. "So, you said what's your name?"
I didn't.
"Delana." I stated, my voice lacking confidence. I tried to keep my composure as much as I could, don't know if I failed or not.
Her smiled flinched for some unknown reason, and unlike me, she failed to keep her composure. This lady seems like trouble. Her son seemed to notice this as well.
"Well Delana, fancy joining us for supper?" She asked again. Her aura scared me.
I looked at Dylan, This people can slaughter us for all I know, and I trust him more than this lady whoever she is, she creeps me out. He thought it over for a while, then he shrugged nonchalantly, and so did I.
"Sure why not," I said, after that I realized that my voice was a little too much high pitched that she flinched, and her son flinched as well. Even I did.
"Great, I'll Inform the cook." she turned to walk away to the way that I previously used to find the kitchen but she turned back again, "Dylan, where is your sister?"
"I don't know, she went out with a friend." He replied.
The lady turned once again towards the kitchen, I heard some yelling in there, but was too afraid to even make a remark. I need to get out of here.
"Your mom seems nice." I said, I noticed that he started walking and because I didn't want the previous dilemma to be duplicated, I walked after him. Towards the unknown destination.
"She is not my mom."
"Really?" I stopped walking and looked at him, when he didn't even spare me a glance I resumed walking, "I recall you calling her mom in that aforementioned awkward situation. And many other awkward situations."
He snorted at that, entering -- a what looked like a veranda-- he walked towards the swing and sat atop it. Me ofcourse not knowing what to do, followed suit and sat beside him.
"I did? Didn't I."
I thought he was about to continue, but he didn't.
"That's it?" I asked.
"Yes." He replied.
"Then who is she?" I asked curiously.
"Not my mom."
"Thanks for the straightforward answers Dylan." I faked a gasp, he looked at me with the tip of his eyes prior shaking his head.
"I got you."
We stayed silent for awhile.
"Then where's your mom?"
He huffed, I thought he wasn't gonna answer me, but he did.
"Dead."
"Dead?"
"Yes."
"Just like mine."
