Adolescence

repair

I woke up to the nurse putting some sort of medicine in Luke's mouth.

-

he cringed at the aweful taste. the nurse handed him water to wash it out.

I look over at his sky blue eyes and smile. he holds up his hand and I interlock his fingers with mine.

-

he kisses me on the back of my hand and pulls my head into the crook of his neck. my parents along with his rushed in immediately. they started at us for a while putting togeather the pieces.

-

both families smiled. and then realized what had just happened. they ran over kissing both our foreheads and saying things like. "I'm so glad you're okay" "You shouldn't have done that" "you're grounded" "I'm so sorry you got hurt" "you could have been dead".

-

Luke just looked at me the entire time blurring out everything they were saying.

-

2 hours later they came in with new bandages and helped Luke to his feet. he limped out using his father for support and me on the other side. they uncooked him from everything and we went towards his parents car.

-

I decided to stay with him knowing that my parent would yell at me. and I wanted to avoid that. in the car we both sat in the back while I rested my head on his shoulder and he stroked my hair. we jolted and I knew we were at his place. he isn't necessarily supposed to live alone yet. I mean we are only 16 but he made well...adjustments.

I stay over a lot So I am familiar with the place. "hey I'm going to change our of these old clothes" He says pointing to his nirvana shirt and black skinny jeans. "I'll be right back" he says.

"you need help?" I yell, he is halfway up the stairs using the railing for support. I run up the stairs while he holds onto my shoulder and he plops on his bed. He walks into his closet and grabs a pierce the veil t shirt, some regular skinny jeans and black converse.

he goes into his bathroom and I can hear shower water running. I get uncomfortable in my high waisted shorts and All Time Low v neck, so I grab his smiley face shirt which goes down to my knees, and throw that on putting my clothes in a neat pile at the end of the bed.

I throw my hair up into a bun and wait for him to get out of the shower.

He walks out with his skinny jeans and converse on, his shirt In hand. I just stare at him. "distracted much? " he giggles. I stop daydreaming. he spikes up his blonde hair and realizes what I'm wearing. "nice choice" he says. I nod. he sadly throws on his shirt and sits on the bed, next to me

LUKES POV

After I took a shower I looked over at Auri and smiled. she was wearing my smiley face shirt, she always wears that when she comes over. she was sitting on my bed reading some sort of fan fiction.

after I put on my nirvana shirt I went over sitting next to her. "nerd" I laughed "AM NOT" She smiled pushing me back. I brought her down with me pulling her close to my chest. I kissed her neck.

"but my fanfiction" She said reaching for her phone. "what's happening in the book?" I ask. "kian was putting Kendra on her shoulders and they were laughing and-and like hugging and Then, ughh they are just so cute together!"

I smiled the entire time. "welp" I said pulling her up off the bed. "we'll just have to be cuter" I threw her over my shoulder cringing at the pain from the gunshot and held her in my arms,

I'm 6'4 so if I put her on ny shoulders she would hit the ceiling. " put ME down!  YOU JUST GOT SHOT " she laughed uncontrollably. "nahhh" finally after a while I played her on my bed and she rolled over so her head was upside down off the edge, I kneeled down on the floor next to her head and kissed her lips softly. she bit her lip and kissed me back.
