Chapter 8: Trouble Start Here

A/N: give chapter 3 some little love guys, (TvT).
Ahem, I need to ask abt sth, like I said from before, every character will be base on S.U, but I wanna add 1 char that wasnt in the show. Just 1, my own gemsona. This story wouldn't be complete without that person so. I hope you will all like this new character. Enjoy reading then.

Cold sweat glistened on her furrowed brow. With hands clasped tightly in front of her stomach Lapis constantly fiddled with her knuckles. Peridot... Damn it. Who are you?! Stop playing around in my head, it really hurt. 

For days, Lapis still couldn't get that name out of her head, it's all she could think. She figured Blue Pearl would be furious if she saw her lacking for sure. But...the person's face was in shadow and Lapis couldn't quite make it out, she has to know, that way she would continue her job perfectly as normal.

That demon...it all happens when the day we first meet. Is she really that someone worth Nora attention? Maybe if I kill her this headache will be over soon, must be it... I don't care what the other said, I'm... already trapped in this loop, even if they kill me, I don't really mind that anymore.

Looking at her trembling hands, its out-stretched for the invisible handcuffs that never came off. She was familiar to these, these uneasy feeling...

"Pumpkin"

In the darkness of the moonlight shadow, a beast with jaws that were born with razor teeth. The marmalade's fur monster made a crept sound along its way. Soon the breathing would increase rapidly. The scraping of his claws was telling that he's ready.

"Find me that demon". As he growled and began to sprint with it predator speed. Coming toward its target.

Off-Color Old Base - Jasper's Crew Facility

In the warm breeze of morning swing by. Sitting on the floor, leaning on the edge of her bed, yet she's shaking. Peridot had stayed up all night, it would have made no difference to her exhaustion. By the morning the bed sheets were in a knot and aside from a few half hours of vivid dreams, she didn't sleep a wink. Her brain is constantly searching for any sign that Lapis's alright. But it's useless, she's out of range, unreachable right now.

Her stomach shifts uneasily and Peridot notice that the hands that she is hugging herself with are pinching into her skin. The blonde girl releases her hands but then she can't figure out what to do with them, clasp and unclasp. Stop it... What they really need now is to be able to reach Lapis...

Taking a tiny sips from a glass of water as she wait, waiting for an answer...about last night conversation.

"So you're saying, there's another reality?" - Jasper couldn't hold the surprise on her face while she and Peridot continue walking together.

"Yes"

"Where I was dead... And those 'Crystal Gems' Angel were on our side. Now that insane"

"But it's true"

"Kid you must be hitting your head real hard. Too bad though, things are not that 'perfect' in your vision. First, there's no 'Diamond's Authority', it's the Pearl's Authority"

Pointing at the side wall, where there's four Oval gem shape was carved on, yet seems like one was scratch away, "Their Queen, Nora, and The Pearl, they're controlling every single living creature on this earth. The one you address as you're...fiancée, well lady Lazuli is a demon killer machine, don't even try to get close, I did that once, the result was not really 'uncomfortable'..."

"Not to mention, she and the other assault every demon in this place, she hates them, so don't have any stupid idea like going after that one." - Connie added, "Jasper if we intend to let her stay then where will she be, there's no more room here"

"Well... worst-case scenario, we still got the bathroom right?"

"Are you kidding me..." - Peridot grunted, trying not to feel insulted.

"She could stay at my room", a warming raspy voice comes into the conversation, coming to save the day, "I don't mind. Have to be out on the field for a while"

"Really?" - that offer has Jasper attention for a moment

"I rarely saw you like this, especially to a stranger, what got into you?" - asked Connie to the person.

"Maheswaran, since when you doubt my way of doing things? Besides, the girl looks like she in need a place to recover, can't say no to that, right?"

"I find it kind of weird myself too but...if you said so, it settles then. Me and Connie will head to the main office to finish the rest of our plan. Doc, you show her to the room and we can talk later?"

"Alright Jasper", he nodded then turned to Peridot, "Follow me, it just at the corner."

As they part and Peridot now with him, Doc? Is that what they call him? The person with a raspy voice, but could bring a heartful feeling to the person he talks to, soft with a gentle expression, one that could easily find trust-worthy just by a glance if you look at him. Mature in his white coat, with a star scarf around his neck. A bit short for a grown up, but hey, height isn't the matter, yes?

Though Peridot couldn't stop wondering. Why is he look kind of ...familiar, maybe we met before?

"We here" - said Doc, as he opened the rusty door, the room inside was a bit dark even with some lights on. She approached the bed and take a sit, I could really have a little rest right now...

"Seems like you're getting used to this place. Well then, I will make myself out"

"Wait"

He stopped after hearing the call, she could see confused has gone all over his face, waiting for an answer.

"You're the Doctor who treated my wound from before right? Thank you, I really appreciate"

"Don't worry about it, it's a duty of mine to heal the patient back to their best shape", the person let out a small chuckled, "I'm Disten. Nice to meet you". After a firm handshake, and was pleasant enough, Peridot starts to think that she could trust him.

"If you need anything, just ask and I will help you whenever I could, okay?"

"Alright"

"Now rest, you need that"

"Hold on. One more thing I want to know...The plan, back then, what are they going to do? After Connie said confront with them is not a smart idea—"

"Listen, I suggest you just stay here in the meanwhile be on our side and everything will be fine. A war is coming, and this time you're already at the first line of it. Total wipeout, is what we are planning for, and you don't wanna mess with Jasper at this"
