"Where the hell is it Disten?" - Jasper grunted through the phone
"I told you, it's right at the corner, look for the two Beetles carve, not really that hard Jasper..."
Jasper stood on top of the clumps, two windswept mounds on earth and grass elevated to amid the surrounding flat surface, glancing at the mountain as she chooses a path to sprint down to.
Touching her earbud again, she asked, "Do you really think this relic could help us?"
"We tried everything Jasper, if there's more of it, we still continue to do it. If God really wants us to win, then Peridot and her story with Lapis...I mean, if, and if it's true, then this is the most assured way to finish what we fighting for"
"You believe the kid?"
"I have my faith, and, yes"
"Well, if you do, then I do too. You've been helping us a lot since we first met, with all the decisions...One last time Disten, one last time, final bet, either we win..."
"Or we die, I know" - Disten lower his voice. The line stopped.
Jasper turned off the device as she reaches to the mountain valley, in the end, there are a two Beetles carving shape on top of an old pedal.
"What do you know, it really was easy to spot" - Jasper mused then started walking to the dusty pedal. It wasn't like the one they use to travel back home, almost as large as it though.
She studied the mark inside closer. This wasn't simply just a pedal, it was the relic keeper pedal, like one of those in the White Palace...
Jasper moved around it, her quiet steps lost in the howling wind. After a few moments she stopped at the heavy stoned pedal and slid her hand underneath - there was some kind of a button, as Jasper tried to twist it by using all of her strength. Luckily, it triggers the pedal to open, picking up the small object, Jasper slowly removing the sticky dust on it.
Heaven and Earth Beetles. One of the powerful relic. Yet it could be only used by two people that have a strong connection with each other. I hope your faith will save us Disten.
As she turned back to her trail, slightly happiness leak through her smile, yet she noticed something unusual, the path... there was supposed to be one trace only.
"WHO'S THERE!" - Jasper yelled as she sees those.
Swiping through the air, came a whoosh sound. Jasper ducked down, hid away the Beetle in her back pocket. By releasing the dark vortex, her power was enhanced, the tall girl was ready for what coming up ahead.
Quiet...She has her total focus on one thing...That weird sound, it's coming from the ground?!!
Caught her off guard, the invisible twine string around her arms pulled her face forward to the ground. She tried to rip the string with her power but it didn't work. The hell is wrong with this thing?!. She thought as she continued to struggle in the twine.
"Don't try too hard, it might break you"
Coming from afar, a dark mauve complexion, a slight curly dark hair that obscures her left eye, the lady approached closer to her, flipping out her fedora, showing those freckles on her cheeks. Three arms; one right arm and one left arm with two fore-arms stemming from the elbow, holding the twine that wraps around Jasper.
"Is fusion the only trick you Crystal Gems know?!" - said Jasper to the lady, "Smoky Quartz"
The lady smiled warmly, "You remember me. What an honor. It's been so long since I appear again in the human world... almost forgot what it looks like"
"Cut the crap Smoky and get to the point"
"What's the fun in that?" - Smoky smirked, as she kicks one of the crates on her way.
"So you're on Nora side too? I thought you High Priest has higher dignity than working under another lowly mixed blood?"
Smoky frowned at her, the other hand raise as she let her weapon go loose, a yo-yo to be specific, it rushed toward Jasper with a speed of a train, leaving fire heat burning along its path.
"I think somebody needs to be teach a lesson about manner"
"Forget manner; you've got a fight to win!"
"Touché"

Waterfall - Old Cabin
Tonight, as I watch the stars, they don't seem as bright. No, they will never hold the same magnificent light. Part of me wonders if they will ever be the same. Without you here.
The shake has never been so violent, as she keeps on struggling against the unknown torture.
"Peridot, are you okay?!" - Connie asked, confusing of what's going on
"I can't— argh" - Peridot grunted, her head, like it, want to explode.
At the same time, Lapis's wedding ring began to vibrate as well, as it's sense for another line of power, dancing around the place. Peridot's face is beet red and her skin glistens in a way that has Connie worried.
"Where's Disten now when I need him more than ever..." - Connie mumbled
There is a fire burning in her. She groans just to breathe and her limp frozen, hollow stare to the ceiling. Her eyes turned white as she saw the light, from the front door. A woman in white, approaching to her, Peridot turns to Connie but seems like time has stopped in the room, and she's the only one could see the lady.
The woman gazed into Peridot soul; eyes shining with an amber inside of which Peridot could dwell herself into.
"A touch from heaven could grant you everything you want" - She said, pointing at Peridot white wings, which accidentally has released without her intention. "As you have been given when you were a child...But we could also take it away"
With a glimpse of light, a white ray was extracted from Peridot body, her wings started to fade and disappear as well as it's gone.
Peridot could feel one of her power is being drifted off, but she couldn't help to escape, like walking on a thin line that crosses between the living and the dead, yet somehow, the dark energy grew stronger.
The moon poured down on them, showering the other with beams of light. The woman in white return to the light where she came from. The girl finally changes back to normal as well, Connie's face began to feel relief.
"Thank god you're back..."
"And here I thought you wanted me dead" - Peridot whisper under her mouth
"Cheap tactic, maybe. But I won't let you die" - Connie scoffed as she untied the rope, "Look here, I know you want to hear about the whole thing, I can see the questions in your eyes. The thing is, there is the before, all the slick road, bumpy ride path that I had cross and the belief everything would be okay, but it's not. When I tried to walk away from what many don't. I can't bear if it happened to anybody else, no one should be losing their family or love one."
Suddenly, there was a noise, a loud crash to be specific, "She's here...", Connie took out her pink sword, stance steady on the floor, gazing around for any other movement. One thud, as the door came flying to the opposite wall.
Peridot saw a familiar face, light from the moon, they caught in her hair, as her skin was illuminated by the stars, longingly, Peridot devoured the person face with her eyes.
She was a fallen angel; a killer machine of darkness. A dangerously beautiful.
"Found you" - the person said.
Apparently, I'm still in love with her. "Lapis"
