The next day when Joe woke up, he felt Dianne still asleep on his chest. He smiled before realising that today was the camera block at Elstree.
'Di?' He muttered while shaking her.
He hated having to wake her up, but he needed to.
''I'm up...' she muttered, sitting up.
Dianne yawned, rubbing her eyes.
'You ready for tonight?'
She asked while standing up, flipping her hair over her shoulders.
She stopped in her tracks when she felt the blood rush to her head.
'You ok, Di?' Joe asked, standing up and placing his hands on her arms.
'Yeah, fine. Just stood up too quick.' She muttered, but a look of fear painted across her face.
'Joe, can you drive me back to my apartment? I need to get something.' She whispered, fiddling with the hem of her shirt.
Joe nodded, running his hand through his hair.
'Now?' She asked, slipping her trainers on.
Joe frowned, seeing she was acting strange.
'Sure.'

~~~
Dianne slowly unlocked her apartment door, with Joe following behind her. She took a deep breath before stepping inside.
Her heart broke as she saw everything shattered and broken.
She put her stuff down by the door and placed her phone on the counter.
'I'll be a second.' She said, her voice breaking before she walked off to the bathroom.
Joe cautiously stepped into the living room and picked up a smashed photo frame.
It was one of Dianne and her family on the beach in Australia.
He smiled, seeing her laughing with her family as they messed around.
He slipped the photo into his backpack, already knowing how to fix it.
A few minutes later, Dianne came out of the bathroom with a box filled with some things.
When he smiled at her, she didn't smile back.
That was when he knew something was wrong.
~~~

Dianne stepped into the bathroom and closed the door behind her.
She made sure it was locked before kneeling down and rummaging through the drawers under the sink.
'No no no no...' she repeated as she saw the calendar.
She drew out the box of tests from the bottom drawer and felt her eyes well with tears.
Quietly, she pulled one out of the box and let out a shaky breath.
She crossed her fingers mentally before taking the test.
She had a feeling that she was pregnant.
She was late by almost 6 weeks and she'd been feeling extremely light headed headed.
Setting a timer on her phone, she tapped her fingers on the side of the bathtub as she waited.
After five minutes, she picked up the plastic stick.
It took all of her courage to read the result.
She threw her hand over her mouth as she saw the one word that changed everything.
Pregnant.
