It was now the evening, and Joe was watching a film with Byron and Emily.
Halfway through, his phone buzzed in his pocket. He pulled it out and glanced at the text on the screen. It was from Amy.
Amy: sorry if Di's late to training tomorrow, she's not feeling great x
Joe: is she ok
Amy: not really, she'll explain tomorrow
Amy: she's had a really bad day
Joe: ok, if you need anything you can text me x
Amy: of course, thanks Joe x
Joe sighed and switched his phone off, throwing it beside him.
'I'm gonna head to bed now, I'll see you in the morning.' He said and smiled weakly at Byron and his girlfriend.
They both nodded, letting Joe get to bed.
He was just hoping that Dianne would explain what happened yesterday.~~~
Amy came back into her apartment to see Dianne lying on the sofa, staring at the wall.
'Hey Di... you alright?' She asked, snapping the redhead out of her daze.
She glanced up at Amy with teary eyes, shaking her head.
Sighing, she walked over to the couch and pulled her into her arms.
'Do you want me to call Joe?'
She shook her head, wiping her cheeks.
'I'll talk to him tomorrow.'
Amy nodded, before standing up.
'I'm going out with the girls now, are you sure you don't wanna come?' She asked, picking up her bag.
Dianne nodded, leaning back.
'I'm sure, I'll be fine. I promise.'
Amy could see that she was sure of her decision, so decided to leave it.
'Okay, you'll probably be asleep by the time I get back so I'll see you tomorrow.' Amy smiled slightly, kissing her cheek quickly.
'See ya later, Ams.'
When the door closed, Dianne sighed and shakily picked up her phone.
She traced over the cracks before unlocking it.
Her heart broke into a further hundred million pieces once she saw the background.
Herself and Anthony.
Quickly, she changed it to plain black before checking her texts.
One was from her brother, Andrew. He was asking to FaceTime if she was free.
Dianne smiled and started the call, waiting for him to pick up.
She hoped this would cheer her up.
