In the evening, Dianne arrived back at Amy's and noticed the house was silent.
She wandered over to the kitchen and noticed a note on the fridge.
Hey Di, just taken a friend to the hospital. We'll both be back later.
Amy xx
Dianne sighed and searched through the cupboards, trying to find some painkillers for her wrist.
Eventually, she found some and opened the packet.
A sudden dizziness overcame her, causing her to fall forward.
As she fell, her head hit against the edge of the table and sent shooting pains through her head.
Slowly, Dianne sat up and held her hand to her head, wincing.
She knew she was way too dizzy to stand up, and would risk hurting herself even more.
Tears sprung to her eyes as her head pounded, and she started to see blackness.
Quickly, she reached out for her phone and unlocked it.
She tapped on Joe's name and sent him a message.

~~~
Joe arrived back from training, on the phone to Olivia.
'So, is Sunday at 11 okay?' She asked, sounding pretty excited.
'Of course, I can't wait.' Joe smiled, writing it down on his calendar.
'Great, I'll see you then.'
They said their goodbyes and Joe hung up, with a smile on his face.
He was starting to think that this was a good idea.
Even though he liked Dianne, as more than a friend, he knew that she wouldn't want a relationship days after being cheated on.
Just as he was thinking about her, he got a text.
From Dianne.
Dianne: joe help come to Amy's
Panic flooded through him, and his heart was pounding.
He grabbed his keys and rushed out the apartment, not caring about slamming the door.
Joe knew where Amy lived, he'd been there once before.
All he hoped was that Dianne was ok.
Joe ran up to the door, finding it unlocked.
He pushed the door open and listened to the eerie silence.
'Dianne?!' He called out, but received no response.
He walked into the living room to see all of her stuff in the corner.
Next, he walked into the kitchen and glanced around the table.
He saw a splash of red hair on the floor before he immediately ran around to her.
He gently pulled her into his lap as he kneeled down.
'Dianne?!' He shook her gently, panicking.
He stood up and carried her over to the sofa.
As soon as he lay her down, she began to stir.
'Di?'
She brought her hand to her head and flinched.
'Joe?' She muttered, beginning to sit up.
'Yeah, I'm here. Don't move.' He said, grabbing hold of her hand.
Her eyes opened slowly and she squinted as they adjusted to the light.
'What happened?' She asked, slowly getting up.
'I don't know, you just texted me that you needed help. I came here and you were passed out on the floor.' Joe explained, showing the text.
'Where's Amy?'
Dianne frowned, trying to remember.
'Oh, she took someone to the hospital. I'm alone.'
Joe nodded, glancing at the time.
'Amy wouldn't mind if I stayed the night, would she?'
Dianne immediately shook her head, smiling.
'Of course not.'
They stayed in a comfortable silence for a few minutes, until Dianne broke it.
'Can we cuddle?' She blurted out, looking down.
'It's just... I haven't had one in months.' She avoided Joe's eye contact, knowing she must sound stupid.
'Of course.' Joe smiled, opening up his arms.
Hesitantly, Dianne climbed onto his lap and rested her head on his chest.
After a few minutes, Joe thought that the redhead was asleep.
Until he felt tears soak through his shirt.
'You ok?' He whispered, pulling one of the fluffy throws over them.
'I'm as good as I could be right now.' She whispered, her voice breaking.
'You know that I'm here to listen to any of your problems, right?'
She nodded, sniffling.
'I'll talk tomorrow. Night Joe...' she muttered, closing her eyes.
Joe smiled as he heard her breathing even out, indicating she was asleep.
He turned his phone on silent before leaning back carefully, not waking up the redhead.
Seconds after closing his eyes, he was asleep.
