Joe made sure to arrive at the studio on time the next day, to see that Dianne was sitting at the side of the room talking to Amy.
He noticed that she had red and puffy eyes, as if she'd been crying, and she had a splint on her wrist.
Amy spun around and smiled at me.
'Right, I'm gonna get back to training. I'll see you later, stay strong.'
He heard Amy whisper, which made him nervous and confused.
Amy got up and walked out the room, leaving himself and the redhead in the room.
'Hey Joe...' she trailed off, glancing at the ground.
'I'm so sorry about yes-' she started.
Joe shook his head.
'Don't worry about it, I overreacted.' He sighed, going over and sitting beside her.
'What happened yesterday? Amy said you had a really bad day.'
Immediately, tears welled in her eyes as she looked down at her phone.
She pressed the home button to see the blank wallpaper.
Frowning, Joe tried to get her to look at him.
He knew that her phone background had always been herself and Anthony, always.
'I broke up with Anthony yesterday...' she whispered, her voice cracking.
A single tear slid down her cheek, but she quickly wiped it away with her uninjured wrist.
'It's fine- It's not like I... loved him... anyway.' She lied, digging her nails into her wrists.
'If you don't mind me asking, why did you break up?'
Dianne looked down, letting out a shaky breath.
'He cheated on me.' She stated, sniffling.
'I mean, I don't know how I didn't see it coming.' She shrugged, pulling her hoodie tighter around her.
'I mean, that girl was probably more talented, funny, interesting, and way more pretty than I could ever be.'
The tears were now slipping down her cheeks quickly, and she was shaking.
'But that not the worst part, he knew about my past and yet he still did it...'
Joe frowned, since he didn't know about her past.
'And I trusted him...'
She glanced up at Joe, with teary eyes.
'But I have you to thank.'
Joe was confused, not knowing what she meant.
'What do you mean?' He asked, rocking her back and forth gently.
'If you hadn't made me go back earlier, I'd never have found out about the cheating.'
They sat for a few minutes in silence, calming Dianne down.
'Can we get dancing now, Joe? It'll get my mind off of it.' She stood up, offering him a hand.
'Are you sure, is your wrist ok?'
She nodded, wiping her eyes.
'Don't worry, I'll be fine.' She managed to smile, pulling him up.
'Isn't Zoe supposed to be meeting you later?'
Joe nodded, glancing at the time.
'In an hour, actually. I could ask her to come here, if that's ok?'
Dianne nodded, a smile crossing her face.
'Of course, I haven't seen her in ages.'
Joe smiled, glad to see the redhead somewhat happy.
He just hoped that it'd last.
She pulled him into a hug, which sent strange shivers down his spine.
Something he'd never felt since they first met, when he had to shove the feelings to the back of his mind.
Surely he couldn't be feeling love, not now.
No, no, no, no...
He was sure of it, except he wasn't sure either.
He'd never felt like this towards a girl before, or ever.
Panic flooded through him.
I can't be falling in love with my dance partner, who's just gotten out of a relationship.
He thought, pulling away from the redhead.
But, deep down, he knew he was falling.
Finally falling in love.
