Joe walked into the studio next door to see Dianne leant against the mirror, her head rested on her knees.
When she saw him, a look of relief washed over her.
'Joe...' she whispered, standing up.
She quickly rushed over to him, tears still rolling down her cheeks.
She flung her arms around him, burying her head in the crook of his neck.
Joe held her in his arms, glancing at Olivia who was biting her lip.
When Dianne pulled away, she noticed the other woman in the doorway.
She smiled the best she could while wiping away her tears.
'Di, what's happened? Why did you lie to me?'
Dianne sighed, taking his hand in hers for support.
'It's... it's a long story...' she muttered, her voice cracking.
'Are you ok?' Olivia asked, stepping forward.
All it took was those three words to break her once again from the inside.
Slowly, she shook her head and wrapped her arms around her stomach, her bottom lip shaking.
'Sit down, I'll tell you everything..'Dianne's POV:
As I sat down on the chairs in front of the other two, I felt my hands begin to shake.
'So... a few days ago I-I got cheated on by my boyfriend. We broke up.' I start, glancing out the window.
'I noticed that I was late and that I'd been feeling really dizzy lately...'
The girl nodded, I still didn't know her name.
'So I... I took a pregnancy test and it came back positive.'
Joe looked away, since I'd told him on the phone.
'The reason I lied to you.. was because I knew you wouldn't let me go and see him. To announce the baby.'
I sniffle, feeling my heart break.
'He reacted badly. He attacked me.'
An eerie silence filled the room, which made me shiver.
'I know I've lost the baby. I just.. know.'
A fresh set of tears roll down my cheeks, and the girl passes me a tissue.
I smile slightly and take it.
'My life's falling apart...'
Joe frowned.
'What do you mean?'
I lock eyes with him before looking back down at my hands.
'I've been cheated on. Lost a baby. My family on the other side of the world is falling apart. I found out today that my dad only has half a year left to live.' I ramble, taking a deep breath.
'I'm falling apart-'
I turn away, muttering the last sentence.
'But no one even notices...'
I suddenly feel a pair of arms wrap around me from behind.
'I'm here for you. You know that, right?'
I smile as Joe spoke, realising that he was supportive.
At least I haven't lost everyone.
