••Fairy Lights••

••PERSONAL IMAGINE••

"I hate being outside." I whine as Harry drags me through the park.

"C'mon, babe." He laughs. "You just hate it because it's starting to rain."

I let out a little huff and reluctantly follow Harry towards the swings. You see..Harry has worked the whole day and got home at 8pm. Currently, it's half past 9 and Mister Styles had the grand idea to take me out to make up for not being home. Trust me, I'm not complaining. Harry usually goes all out when we go on dates, but this is really nice, too. No fancy dinner, no paps, no nothing. Just us being 'rebellious' as Harry called it.

"How was your day?" Harry questions once we settled down on the two swings. A slight breeze causes goose bumps to arise on my skin even though I'm wearing one of Harry's sweaters. I pull my beanie down so it covers my ears properly and turn to look at Harry. I open my mouth but before I can utter a single word he's speaking again, frowning at the ground. "I'm sorry I wasn't home today. I know I promised we'd do something together but the call from Jeff was unexpected and I swear I tried talking myself out of it but he said it was really important because he's off to LA in two days and we need to get this done and-"

"Stop it, Harry." I cut him off and let out a huff.

"I'm sorry." He whispers. "I'm not trying to make up excuses..I just wanted to explain."

My eyes widen a bit and my fists tighten around the chains before I get up to stand in between his legs. I place a finger under his chin to make him look at me and give him a small smile. He smiles back but looks a little confused so with a bit of struggle and help from Harry I manage to sit down on his lap. He wraps his arms around my waist, holding me close to him. I bury my face in the crook of his neck, inhaling the familiar scent of his cologne mixed with mint and Harry. I feel him kiss my forehead before resting his against mine.

"You don't have to be sorry, H. I know how you can be needed at the studio all of a sudden. I'm not mad. And I'm certainly not thinking you're making up excuses." My fingers draw random patterns on his sweater covered chest and I reach up to press a kiss against his cheek.

"I love you, Sky." Harry's voice is muffled but I still heard him loud and clear.

It's not like we haven't said 'I love you' before, but everytime he says it my heart flutters and I feel all warm and tingly inside.

A chaste kiss is pressed against my lips and Harry gently pushes me off his lap before getting up himself. "I've got to show you something."

Harry takes my hand and intertwines our fingers, pulling me into his side as we walk and leave the playground behind. The drizzle has now almost turnt into proper rain but is long forgotten as we walk to a more secluded part of the park. Harry stops in front of a line of trees and moves so he's standing behind me. I can feel his chest press against my back. He's wearing a sweater and a coat but I can still feel the heat his body is radiating.

"No peeking, love." His lips touch the outer shell of my ear as he talks oh so quietly, not wanting to disturb the comfortable silence. I close my eyes without hesitation. My lips turn upwards as I feel him put his hands over my eyes to ensure I'm really not peeking.

"There we go, m'love." He guides me through the hedge of trees and comes to a stop soon after. "Alright." Harry removes his hands from my face and steps next to me. "You can open your eyes now."

A gasp makes it past my lips as I take in the scenery in front of me. This part of the park looks like a small clearing in the woods. A lone tree decorated with loads of fairy lights stands proudly in the middle of it, giving off a soft glow.
