Doctor POV:

After getting things under better control we had little time to try bringing back the patient. It took some time alone just to get everyone out of the room that shouldn't of. I just don't understand who would do this to there own daughter.

"WE NEED A CART IN HERE NOW!" I yelled out to the nurses station. The defibrillator is the only chance we have to bring her back, but we must be quick. Three nurses came rushing into the room almost knocking the precious machine off the stand.

"Lets go we don't have time for this! Charge!"

As the nurses behind me charged the machine I moved her hospital gown out of the way and the wires off of her as well. With all the fabric gone you could better see the dark bruise around her neck from her father. I tried to stay professional as I tried my best not to cry. Her father was a monster. "You listen to me Miss. Your not gonna die on us, you hear? Hang in there!" I said to her softly.

"Charged and Ready Dr. Angela" a blonde nurse yelled.

I spread the gel over the pedals on the machine. Its now or never. I hovered one paddle over the heart, and the other just to the left of it.

"Charged, 500 Clear" as I said clear I pushed the pedals against her skin

Her body jumped but no sign of a heartbeat.

"Charging and Ready again" said the nurse.

"Clear" I yelled this time the electricity coursing through the paddles worked. Our patient is going to live.

"Check all of her vitals, and I want a full report on her. The police are going to want everything." I say as I left the room. I heard a man speak to me about the patient, but I couldn't listen to it right now and kept walking towards my office.

I closed the door behind me and sat in my chair behind the desk. The person was just outside the door but I couldn't think straight. I just had a father try killing his daughter up here. It was just so wrong and nobody caught it. It could have been too late.

"Um Doctor, can I talk to you?" I hear the man outside my door speak.

I ran my hand through my hair. "Come in please Sir" I said trying to sound confident.

The man came into my office was tall with brown hair. I could tell he wasn't from here, but from hearing him talk he spoke English well.

"Is there anything I can help you with Sir?" I said sounding professional. I clasped my hands together and rested them on my desk.

"Well, the girl in that room. Jessica, will she be okay? The members, I mean my friends and I are really worried about her." he said softly his voice cracking a little. I could tell he has been crying, even his eyes were a little puffy.

"She will be fine, if it weren't for you and your friends we wouldn't have been able to get into her room. Though it seemed her heart had stopped, her heart was fibrillating. That's where it is more or less quivering. Its not truly beating but it has some life in it. If you and your friends hadn't showed up her heart would have truly stopped and we wouldn't have been able to bring her back even with our defibrillator. Thank you so much!" I got up and raised my hand up to shake his.

He took my hand and shook it. "really we have you to thank. You brought our friend back." he said with a slight smile on his face.

My smile faltered as I remembered my patients files from earlier. "Oh um I don't know if this is a good time but I also need to tell you about Jessica. I can't go into to much detail about her, but I will tell you this. Because of her attempt on her life she lost parts of her memory. Anything that has caused her pain in the past has been erased, even some important things in her life may have been erased. Not saying she won't remember any of you, but there is a chance she has. We can work with her though to bring her memory back, but it will also bring back the bad as well. I'm only telling you this because when she wakes up, I don't want you getting upset if she don't remember any of you" I said softly trying to comfort him a little with my words.

"I understand that. Thank you so much but I must go. I need to talk with my friends and tell them. I want her to remember things, but I don't know if I want her to remember the bad." he said kinda sad.

"Well let me tell you this, If she don't remember she will feel like a hole will forever be in her life. It's truly better for her to know so she can push past it. It's the best thing for her" I talked professionally but in my heart I wouldn't want her to know what she had already once been through.

"Thank you again Doctor" the man said and shook my hand again before leaving out of my office.
