Justin rushed over to me and grabbed the phone out my hand. "Hello?"

"Yes, is Ms. Blaine okay? Will she be able to make it to the hospital on time? Her mother is in critical condition." The person explained.

"She will be there soon." Justin assured.

He then hung up the phone call and wrapped me in his arms as he kissed me on my forehead.

Justin looked me in my eyes. "Listen to me. We're going to get on a flight and go see your mother right now."

I fretted. "Okay."

My mother has to be okay.

Justin and I took a private jet to California. I'm really grateful for that because I had no clue how I was going to get there.

"Hi, my name is Ella Blaine. I'm here to see Linda Blaine, my mother." I panted, while speaking to a nurse.

"Right this way miss." The nurse said as she led Justin and I to a doctor's office.

"Hi, I'm Doctor Richard. Can I speak to you in private please?" The doctor asked as she made eye-contact with Justin.

Justin hugged me. "I'll be right outside."

I nodded my head as he walked out the office.

"Ella has your mother ever had any medical issues or medication she'd take?" Doctor Richard asked.

"No, not that I know of."

"Well, three days ago your mother had a heart attack and was rushed here to our hospital by a stranger. Did you know?"

I shook my head. "No, I never received any calls."

Doctor Richard nodded her head as she stood up from her seat. "I understand."

She walked me out of her office.

"Ella, I'm sorry but— your mother stopped breathing minutes ago and has passed away." Doctor Richard said before walking away.

My life completely shattered in that very moment.

"No, no, no!" I bawled as Justin rushed over and hugged me.

Two nurses rushed over and tried to comfort me as well.

"I want to see my mother!" I wept.

"Okay—but please calm down." A nurse begged.

"Let me see my mom!"

The other nurse nodded his head and walked Justin and I over to the room where my mother laid dead in.

I uncovered a white sheet from her face and began to shiver. Her face looked cold, pale, and lifeless.

My mother, the only mother I had in my life, Linda Blaine, is really gone. Forever.

"I need to get out of here." I mumbled.

Justin walked me out the hospital, and one of his personal drivers took us to the nearest hotel.

"I still don't understand this. My mother was perfectly fine the last time I spoke to her." I lamented.

I looked at Justin."Now she's gone."

"God should just take me too." I added.

"Hey, shhh. Don't say that." Justin said as he wrapped me in his arms.
