Justin and I spent the rest of the week in Dubai relaxing and spending time together ...Today, that ended. We took a private flight back home.
"This is still surreal, like we're really getting married." I gushed as Justin and I walked towards our front door.
Justin smiled but then he stopped.
"Ma'am you need to leave." Lloyd said to a lady.
Justin and I walked up to our front door in confusion.
"I'm not leaving. I need to see my cousin." The lady said loudly.
Lloyd moved out of her face so that Justin and I could see her.
"Shanice?" I said in confusion.
Shanice is my older cousin, Aunt Madelyn's daughter, and my mother's niece.
"Ella!" Shanice smiled as she push Lloyd out her way and hugged me.
"Hi... What are you doing here?" I asked.
I haven't seen any of my "family" since my mother's funeral.
"Girl I'm here to help you plan your wedding. It's gonna be lit! We're gonna have the whole family there." Shanice said in excitement.
I smiled awkwardly as I glanced at Justin.
"—And you must be the one and only, Justin Smith." Shanice beamed as she looked at him.
"It's nice to meet you." Justin smiled as he held out his hand.
"We're about to be family." Shanice said as she disregarded Justin's hand and hugged him.
Justin laughed as I shook my head and unlocked the front door. We then all walked in.
"WOW. This is nice! Justin must be really taking good care of you Ella." Shanice bursted as she walked around the penthouse.
Seriously...
"I'll be right back, I need to call my assistant." Justin smiled as he kissed me on my cheek.
I nodded my head as he walked away.
"So what's first on the list for the wedding? How are we going to plan for it. —What is the theme?" Shanice asked as she sat on the couch.
"Shanice... I just got engaged like—two days ago."
"So?"
"Why are you really here? We haven't seen each other in years." I said.
"Girl, I'm here to help you plan your wedding. —I wouldn't miss it for the world."
I shook my head.
"Anyway, tomorrow I will be here early in the morning so that we can start planning." Shanice promised as she stood up from the couch.
"Wait, how did you find where I live?" I asked.
"That's for me to know and for you to never find out." Shanice laughed.
"Well... I'm not going to start planning the wedding tom–"
"I can't believe your getting married!" Giselle gushed as she walked through the front door and over to me.
"Giselle? I haven't seen you in like... forever!" I smiled as I hugged her.
"I know! I miss you so much." Giselle beamed.
Suddenly, Shanice cleared her throat.
"Aren't you going to introduce your cousin to your rich friend?" Shanice asked.
