After dinner, Justin and I got ready for bed and went to sleep because we were so tired.

Ella's dream

Justin and I stood face to face as we held each other's hands.

"I love you." I smiled.

Justin faced down.

"What's wrong?" I asked in worrisome.

Justin turned around and pointed to a huge clock hung up on a red wall.

"It's time." Justin said as he faced me again.

"Time for what?"

"It's time for you to let me go."

Suddenly, Justin fell on the ground, so I bent down and wrapped him in my arms.

"No, no, no, you can't leave me." I said as tears began to fill my eyes.

Blood began to rush out like tears from Justin's eyes and mouth.

"Ms. Blaine, it's time." A man dressed in a black suit said as he walked up to me.

The man then grabbed Justin's body away from me and walked away.

I gasped as I woke up from my sleep and looked over to my side where I noticed Justin sleeping peacefully.

"It was just a dream Ella." I whispered to myself.

I then got out of bed and walked over to the dining table where I sat down.

Ella's imagination

I sat on the ground next to my mothers grave.

"I'm sorry that I didn't get to say goodbye." My mother said as she walked over to me and sat down.

We both stared at her grave.

"It's fine, no one knows when their going to leave this world mom. —Dad didn't." I said as I looked her in her eyes.

My mother and I sat in silence until she decided to speak again.

"I was in pain mentally while I was alive. —But the moment I stopped breathing, the pain stopped.
—But I was just so tired Ella, I really was. There were so many bad things that I did and the weight didn't leave my shoulders until I left this earth." My mother explained.

I shook my head as tears began to rush down my face. "I miss you."

My mother wiped my tears away with her hands. "You have to stop missing me. —You have to let me go so that you can move on with your life and flourish."

"I can't just forget about you mom."

"You don't have to forget about me, but you have to let me go—for good."

I faced my mother's grave again.

"—How's life right now?" My mother asked.

"It's great. —I'm finally starting my career and my relationship with Justin is good again." I said as I looked at my mom.

"That's good. I always knew that you would find happiness." My mother smiled as she grabbed me by my shoulders and wrapped me in her arms.

"What if this happiness is temporary?" I asked.

"Make the best of it." My mother smiled.

Reality

"Ella?" Justin said.

I stopped gazing and gasped.

"Are you okay? It's late." Justin said.

"Yeah—yeah I just...had a bad dream and I couldn't fall asleep again." I explained.
