It turns out that someone broke into Justin's apartment while I was in the shower. They didn't steal anything but officers advised Justin and I to leave his apartment because it isn't safe to stay.

Justin and I were going to go to a hotel, but his mother demanded that we go to her house instead.

"Oh my goodness, I'm so glad that you both are safe." Mrs. Smith exhaled in relief as she ran up to Justin and I, and hugged us as we walked in the house.

"My heart dropped when I saw you both on the news." She added.

"Wait, we're on the news?" I asked.

"Of course. The CFO of the Smith's company and a famous gym owner along with his girlfriend could have been killed, that's important news." Mrs. Smith explained.

Justin rolled his eyes as he shook his head.

"I'll be in my room if you two need me." Justin said as he kissed his mother on the cheek and then me.

"Are you okay?" I asked.

"Yeah—yeah. I just need to shower, It's been a long day."

Mrs. Smith and I nodded our heads as Justin walked upstairs to his old bedroom.

"He's probably stressed out about this whole situation. My poor boy." Mrs. Smith sighed.

"Anyway, come with me sweetie." She added as she walked over to her kitchen.

   I followed her.

"I'm sure you haven't eaten anything yet." Mrs. Smith said as she handed me a turkey sandwich and a glass of juice.

"Justin told me this is your favorite." Mrs. Smith grinned.

"Awe, thank you Mrs. Smith. I appreciate it." I smiled before I began to eat.

"You're very welcome darling. —Hopefully you'll be calling me mother... in law. Soon?" Mrs. Smith chuckled.

   I laughed awkwardly.

"Hi Ella!" Abigail smiled as she rushed over to me and hugged me.

"Hey pretty girl." I smiled.

"Can I have some of your wich sand please?" Abigail asked as she held out her hand.

"Abigail its a sandwich." Mrs. Smith corrected.

"Sand–wich. Sandwich. Can I have some of your sandwich Ella?" Abigail asked.

"Of course you can." I laughed as I split my sandwich in half and handed a piece to her.

"Abigail, what do you say?" Mrs. Smith asked.

"Thank you!" Abigail smiled as she began to eat the sandwich before running out the kitchen.

"She is so cute." I laughed.

"She is also a handful." Mrs. Smith said as she rolled her eyes, while Mr. Smith walked into the kitchen.

"If it isn't the wonderful Ella Blaine." Mr. Smith beamed as he patted me on the shoulder.

"Hey Mr. Smith." I smiled.

"Hey El. How are you? Did you eat?" Mr. Smith asked.

"I'm fine, and yes—I'm just finishing up this sandwich." I grinned.

"Good, good. —Well I'm going to go and speak to Justin so we can get to the bottom of this whole situation." Mr. Smith said.

I nodded my head.
