It had been two weeks since Mayley had told me that Shawn and Austin were dating. I tried my best not to think about it, but it was so hard. Don't get me wrong, I was still upset at Shawn for what he did to me, but that didn't stop me from loving him. Wait, did I just say I loved him? No. No way.
That's when it hit me.
I had forgiven him. I just wanted to be with him more than anything. Great, and now I ruined any chance I had at us getting back together.
I immediately called Mayley.
"Hello?" She answered.
"Hey," I said. "I need your help."
"With what?"
"Getting Shawn back." I heard a sigh on the other end of the line. "JT," she started. "He's dating Austin now. Don't ruin it for them. We both know what would happen if you told Shawn you wanted him back."
I sighed. "I guess you're right. I just love him so much." Then, Mayley's end of the call went silent. "Hello?" I asked.
"What did you just say?" She gasped.
"I said hello," I replied, confused.
"No, idiot. Before that."
"Oh. That I'm in love with Shawn?"
"OH MY GOD! I can't believe this. I'm so happy for you."
I frowned.
"Well it's no use if he's with someone else," I said.
"Well, let me talk to Shawn—," she started, before I cut her off.
"No! Don't tell him know this conversation even happened. If he's happy with Austin, then I'm happy."
"Aww, I'm so sorry JT," Mayley cried.
"Me too," I said.
