Had Shawn just lied to me? I couldn't help but feel this way after JT walked into the dance only three seconds after Shawn. He had said that he needed to talk to someone, but I noticed how strained his lips looked. Shawn had been acting a little strange for a little while now and a part of me kept wanting to ask him. But, if he thought that I was jealous of JT, he'd get mad. Shawn went off to dance with some of his friends and I went to find Mayley. I think she noticed how upset I looked because the second I walked up to her, she frowned.
"What's up?" She asked.
"I need to ask you something," I started. "Does Shawn still have feelings for JT?"
She flinched and stayed quiet. "Fine, let me ask you this. Does Shawn even like me?"
Her head lifted up. "Yes! He really does like you a lot. As for JT, you'll have to ask him yourself."
I nodded and thanked her, not feeling that much better.
Just as I turned around to walk away, Mayley said one more thing. "I know Shawn. He won't lie to you."
I sure hoped she was right.
