Right jab.

Left jab.

Dodge.

Kick.

"Good job, Claire!" Mikey smiled from the ground.

"And you actually tried this time!" I proudly panted while gulping down a pint of water.

"I did, your jabs are getting better."

I helped Mikey up and tossed him a towel.

I actually beat Mikey 😁

I sent my text to Reid and stuffed my phone inside of my pocket.

"Should we go for Chinese or Italian?" I asked Mikey while looking for the food menus in my bag.

Mikey read the messages on his phone attentively, looking equally saddened and afraid, emotions I've never seen on him.

"What's wrong, Mikey?"

"We have to go." He replied, grabbing both of our things and rushing out of the door.

"Wait- what's happening?" I asked in fear as I jogged behind him, trying to keep up.

"Emergency, I have to be somewhere."

"Oh, well just go alone, I'll make it home."

"I can't risk that, Claire."

Mikey threw our things in the back of his truck and quickly walked to his side of the car.

What is going on?

Mikey sped through the streets like a bat out of hell, occasionally scaring me. As soon as we got to our destination bad thoughts began to flood my mind, we're at a hospital.

At first, I thought we were there for Reid or any other member of the gang, then I remembered that they don't do hospitals.

"Who are we here for?" I asked, more like demanded, while Mikey and I quickly made our way to the hospital's reception desk.

"Adrianna Jacobs." Mikey replied, answering my question and asking for a patient at the same time.

The receptionist typed a few things into the computer then gave us a room number.

"You didn't tell me you had a wife." I scoffed while following him through the halls of the hospital.

"I don't." He calmly responded while opening the patient's door, revealing a pretty little girl; who's Mikey's exact replica, sitting on the bed with a pink cast.

"Daddy!" The little girl squealed as soon as she saw Mikey.

"I do have a daughter."

"When were you going to tell me!?" I whisper-shouted at Mikey, who was stacking fruit parfaits on his tray for the three of us.
