6 Days Later

A brisk gust of wind shot up my fluffy white robe, Reid laughed at my childish shiver.

"You know it's windy." I scoffed with an eye roll, sipping out of my wine glass.

"I'm fine." He said while taking a bite of his buttered croissant.

I laughed, walking to the railing of the balcony.  Cars swarmed the streets and busy humans swarmed the sidewalks, the bright, rising sun shined down on all of it.

Nothing beats breakfast on a balcony overviewing all of Paris.

Reid wrapped his arms around my torso and rested his chin on my head.

"It's beautiful."

"Just like you."

I blushed and put my hands over his on my navel.

Reid held four shopping bags in one hand and my hand in the other.  We walked through the outlet mall without a care in the world, taking pictures and having mindless conversations,  every now and again a fan would stop us or the paparazzi would try to sneak a photo of me or him, or both of us together, but we didn't mind any of it.

"Let's go here!" I gasped, pulling him into the shop.

"This one would be perfect for you." I cooed while looking at a plum long sleeved button down.

"We're here for you, not me, babe." He laughed while scrolling down his phone.

"Or this one." I felt the fabric of the golden stitched silk shirt.

"Wouldn't you rather go to the shop over there?" He groaned while pointing to the feminine shop next door.

"Hmm."

I grabbed the plum shirt in his size and pulled my black card out.

"No, I'm paying for it." He demanded while plucking the card out of my hands.

We walked out of the store with another two bags in hand.  I laughed while walking down the cobblestone pathway, my arm snaked its way around Reid's tricep.

Reid's head jerked behind us, a multitude of screams erupted around us.

"Cal!" Cal immerged from the sidelines, his hand ready on his pistol, I looked around attentively for the problem.

The crowd ran every direction, pushing and bumping everyone they could.

"Reid, eyes on!" My head shot to Cal who was rapidly firing his pistol, the screams ringing louder in my head.

Reid pushed me to the ground, away from him, pulling out his pistol, firing with Cal.

"Cal- Reid?!" I called out, trying to get off of the ground and to them, past all of the screaming people.

"Call the police!" A distressed lady screamed while shoving me onto the hard ground.

My breath was caught in my throat, I pushed past all of the fleeing people, finding Reid, leaning against a statue firing his gun.

"Reid- what's happening?" I asked, ducking down.  Reid's face became pale, I watched the pistol fall out of his hand in slow motion.

"Reid.." I ran closer to him, examining him.

"Reid, whats-" I looked to his hand covering his chest, blood seeping out of it.

"Reid!" I gasped out as loud as I could, applying pressure to his wound.
