Part One: Memory
It was half an hour left till his arrival but my mind was so far away, dwelling on something that didn't exist. Who was that in the picture? Why was he with me? And it seemed like I was aware of his presence; as so the picture showed. I started looking through the other photos that occupied the wall and almost all of them had the same thing the first one did. None consisted originally of jason and had that familiar yet unfamiliar guy in all of them. The thought was unnerving. I was on end about what was just happening. My head started paining and I soon found myself completely focussing on the pain i was in, rather then the questions I should've been thinking about. I looked at the watch and sure enough, there were hardly ten minutes left.
I got up from the bed, my head dizzy, making me tumble sideways. I went towards the wall and stared at it for awhile. Would this work? I needed to show him I wasn't well enough for whatever he was going to do to me. No, he wouldn't do that to me. He wasn't like that. What was I saying?
I banged my head on the wall and the impact made me fall on the floor, half conscious. I needed to do it again. The world spun around me as i attempted to get up. One more hit. With the wall supporting my weight, I aimed my head for a final blow but just than, the door opened and in came jason, or so I thought. A thud sounded through the room followed by more falling. Someone was falling off the stairs. My head gave out a horrible ache which made me cringe. I fell back on the floor, trying to sit up straight.
Suddenly, my eyes landed on a girl lying on the floor, blind folded. I recognized her, somehow. She had the same hair colour as mine and her hands were tied behind her back. My vision hazy, I looked up to find jason walking slowly down the steps, holding out a knife.
'Welcome home-'
I blacked out.
-
'Please. What did I do?' A scream.
'Shut the fuck up. I want you to take care of her, alright?' A whimper. Silence.
'Why are you doing this to us?' A thud. Slap. Falling. More sobbing.
'Speak one more word and I'd r*pe you right here. Right now.' A hushed scream.
'What are you doing? No, What..'
'Promise you won't speak about him,'
'But he's-' A slap.
'Pl- oh no. Stop!'
'Bi*ch' Wrestling. Hands connecting hands. Foot connecting a body.
'I pr-p-' sobbing.
Another slap.
'Aah, okay okay. ih-' -hiccup- 'promise,'
'Good. Clean her when she wakes up. I know what she tried to do and I won't spare her but don't let her know that.' Some more movement. Someone walking up the stairs. A click.
-
I opened my eyes slowly, as they adjusting to the blinding light infront of me. I squeezed them alittle, trying to see where the source was.
'Oh, you're awake.' Said a familiar voice. Where had I heard it before?
'Don't get up yet, let me help you,' she came over my head and helped me to sit up straight, my vision still dizzy from sitting up so fast.
'Wha- where -what happened?'
'You fainted,' she trailed off, and I finally looked up to see her closely for the first time. She had long straight hair like mine. However, her eyes were a different colour and she had a sweet, prettier face than mine. She had big, swollen lips and a long yet elegant nose, which oddly suited her. I'd seen her before, but where?
'Who are you?' I asked. She looked surprised at first but then covered it up, 'You mean, you don't know?' I shrugged. Was I supposed to?
'You seem familiar,'
'Oh, I'm,' she hesitated for awhile before speaking up.
'Lisa,' She finally said, helping me up on the cold, tiled floor.
'Do I know you?'
'No, no you don't.' she seemed unconvincing and the way she said it made me think otherwise.
'He asked me to dress you up before he gets back. He said he needed to..tell you something.'
Tell me something?
'Do you know what it is?'
'No,' she hesitated and for a moment I saw a flash of regret on her face before she led me to the bathroom.
'You should shower.' I looked at her suspiciously, my eyebrows raised, scanning her weird demeanor. She seemed on edge about something. I shrugged and went inside. Stripping from my clothes, I stood under the shower, my muscles slowly easing as the water rushed past my skin. My thoughts seized for awhile, enjoying the warm water that caressed my skin. But then it suddenly hit me.
'Promise you won't speak about him,' Him.
'But he's-' He's..?
'I know what she tried to do,' What did i try to do?
'And I won't spare her.' Oh God.
'But don't let her know that,'
Oh. My. God.
