Part One: The first kill

She screamed. I held my ears, heart pulsating out of my chest, my throat dry, the adrenaline rushing through my body. Then, nothing. I looked up at Jason, his hands raised towards the wall behind me, his smirk growing by every passing second. I slowly turned my head around, but half way there, he fired another shot. I screamed, turning towards him again. He laughed, the voice thundering around the room. Why was he doing this to me?

Tears welled up in my eyes, and I looked up at him again, him smiling at me. Just that. He kept smiling like he did when he won a bet. When he earned a reward. When he knew he was right and I was wrong.

When he knew that he had me cornered.

'Why?' I croaked, my voice barely audible.

'Because,' He leaned towards me, kissing me on my forehead, and then looking in my eyes.

'I love you,' My eyes closed, my head was exploding with pain and I felt like I needed to throw up. Just as the thought came, I leaned at the corner of the bed and threw up in front of him. He watched, his eyes filled with a glint of concern.

'Jenna, why would you do It? Why would you break my trust?' Not now, please.

'I was...scared,' I wiped my mouth, looking down at the duvet, avoiding any eye contact.

'You know I won't hurt you,' Are you kidding me?

'I know..but I can't- I can't stay locked up in here..' I twisted my fingers.

'Oh,' Maybe he'd at least let me have fresh air now!

'Well, you have to deal with it, k? Sorry, but I can't trust you anymore,' I closed my eyes, cursing myself for ever pulling that up. It was because of me my sister was now dead. Wait..My sister!

'My sister..' I whispered.

'She's alive, I didn't do anything to her,' He re-loaded his gun, standing up to check his aim.

'I have to go, I'm not gonna leave you untied, so I'm gonna let her have an eye on you for the while until I find a replacement. She can't be trusted, either, but I don't seem to have a choice,' He walked towards me, and held up my head with his long fingers.

'Don't want to lose you now, or do I?' He kissed me once again and went at the end of the room. I heard chains rattling against the wall and then a thump. Coughs.

'Make sure...you better,' he whispered something to her, barely audible and walked back to the staircase, disappearing through the door.

Click. Locked once again.

She was busy, the room was plunged in a deep silence. She kept scrubbing the floor until it was spotless, as if avoiding to have to talk to me if she stopped being busy.

I kept staring.

She stopped abruptly. Her broom fell, her face fell. She seemed to be considering something, then looked at me briefly.

'Jenna, you remember who I am?'

'Ofcourse..why would I not?' I questioned, surprised by her mundane question.

'Because,' a tear escaped her eyes and she shuddered slightly. She looked up for a brief moment before walking towards me, her eyes slowly tearing up. What was going on?

She sat beside my bed and took a deep breath. She held my hand in hers, and looked at my eyes.

'Oh, jenna..' She pursed her lips.

'What?' I asked once again.

'Do you- remember Darick?' She inquired hesitantly.

I'd heard that name somewhere.

'Sounds familiar. Why?'

'Jenna, listen carefully. Jason, he's- he's been drugging you, so that you could forget stuff, forget the past. In time, all you'd know about would be him and you. He's been adding that to your food. That's why you don't remember..' she trailed off. My mouth opened in surprise. Who was Darick, then?

'Then..who is he?'

'Jenna..he's-he's..' A shot sounded through the room. Then, silence. My mouth hung slightly open, her hands squeezed my arms, her eyes seemed like they were gonna bulge out of their sockets. Her hand fell limply alongside mine and her head fell on my stomach, my clothes starting to soak in her blood.

'I knew she can't be trusted, stupid b*tch,'
