Part 2: Second Attempt

I rushed towards the corner of the room, and picked up the stray newspaper that lied crumbled on the ground. The first page had the picture of a man I very well recognized from my dream. Grey hair, yet a frown forming wrinkles on his face.

Dad.

I read through the headline, 'Harrison George finds a lead'

I read through the first paragraph, my eyes swelling with tears of joy.
'TUESDAY; Washington; Harrison George, father of Jenna Morris, the kidnapped girl, has found an important lead to be-head his investigation.
According to Harrison, he has found an important witness to the kidnapping of his second daughter, which was very well-linked to the first one, and tends to use it for filing a case against whoever is found guilty through these eye witnesses. Authorities have confirmed presence of atleast two witnesses near the Grahm park where the second daughter of Harrison was abducted.
Harrison says, 'I have indeed found the key to find my daughter, however I remain oblivious to the fact if they're still alive.'
Harrison remains hospitalized due to severe heart condition, however he insists on continuing the search through his police force.'

Harrison. So I stood right, he was my father. My hand brushed against the rough sandpaper, as I traced his outline on the page, trying to remember the times we had spent together. Suddenly, Jason burst through the door, almost breaking it off its hinges. I flinched, quickly crumbling the newspaper behind myself while I faced my back to the wall. His eyes looked hungrily at me, as if he was looking for his prey. My legs shivered and I forced my hands to stop this shaking, yet with no avail.

'Why are you shaking?' he smirked devilishly, folding his arms.

'I-i'm not,'

'Tsk Tsk, didn't I tell you not to lie?' He started to take slow steps towards me. I further pushed my back against the wall, forcing my eyes shut. His breath fanned my face as I stood still. I could feel his build two inches apart from mine, his eyes staring at my face, his hand slowly raising. I opened my eyes to look at him, a calm yet scary look on his face. He caressed my neck, as he came up to my lips. I thought he'd try to kiss me but instead, he cut a slit on both of my legs with a knife. I screamed, as a hot searing pain travelled up my legs. It was so intense that I started to roll on the carpet, trying to stop the bleeding.

'Make it stop!' I yelled. He wore a black robe and a mask to veil his face, and picked me up in a flash, shutting my mouth by sealing it with tape. His carrying me like that added to my pain and I started to cry fiercely. I needed it to stop.

He ran up the stairs, while carrying my petite frame on his shoulders as my hair flew over his back with his quick movements. Once outside the house, he signalled towards a guy who stood among the trees, smoking a cigar.

'Dress her,' Came a husky voice.

'What are you doing!?' he slapped my hand away as i attempted to stop him. The guy behind me held my hands tightly behind my back as Jason quickly undressed me into a red tank top and leather pants. It was overly revealing and made me shiver as the cold air brushed against my exposed skin, and my pain doubled. A few tears escaped my eyes.

'Please, let me go,' I begged in vain, nothing was going to get me out of this.

'Shut up,' He whispered before pushing me towards the man who took hold of my elbow and walked me towards a car hidden among the trees.

'Where are you taking me?' I screamed, frustrated. He only pushed harder. I nudged his stomach with my elbow enough to make him recoil and started to run. This was it. I was finally going to escape.

'JASON! THE GIRL!' He screamed, while taking a run for it himself. Jason dropped his stuff and sighed. He took off at full speed towards me while I ran hopelessly among the thick trees, zig zagging in hope to find a way out of the forest.

'Jen stop running,' he said, rather calmly. 'Or you know what'd happen,' he threatened, yet it was weird how a few words he said could instill fear in every bone of my body. I hid behind a tree as he walked past, not even trying to run.

'This is no time for games jenna, and you'll suffer for nothing,'

That wasn't true. I'd know even if I wouldn't manage to escape, at least I tried, and that was enough. I held my breath, my heartbeat at full speed. If he caught me, that could be the end of me.

'Jenna,' he sounded distant, yet so menacing. I looked at the path ahead of me, leading to an even thicker forest, blocking the minor rays of sunlight that managed to penetrate the trees. I sighed. I needed to make a plan.

'I told you to look after her, and you lost her, great,' said jason to probably, the stranger I met just today.

'How dare she-' he stopped midway. My heart leaped up my throat, maybe he has spotted me. I slowly moved towards the next tree, my eyes still on the tree I was moving away from. My back bumped into something soft which smelled pungent. I slowly turned around to look at who it was.
