Barry's POV:
Parker and I are sitting in our lab at CCPD working on our separate cases. She seems a bit distracted and off today. It could be a stressful case, it could be wedding planning or it could be she's just having an off day, but something tells me that it's more than that.Barry: Hey Parker.
She looks up from what she's doing and looks at me.
Parker: Yea?
Barry: Are you okay? You seem a little distracted today. Is something bothering you?
Parker gets this strange look on her face. She comes over and sits on my desk across from me.
Parker: (deep sigh) Look Bare as the lead CSI on your father's case it's hard being around you sometimes. I feel kind of weird that's all.
Barry: (concerned) Why did you find something out?
Parker: You know I'm not supposed to talk to you about this case, but I guess if it were my father and my friend knew something I'd want them to tell me.
Barry: You don't have to risk your job.
Parker: It's okay. Who are you gonna tell other than your wife?
Barry: Who says I'm gonna tell Iris?
Parker gives me this look as if she's saying "really?" in her head.
She was right. I was gonna tell Iris every single word she told me.Barry: Okay so I'm going to tell Iris.
Parker: Anyway. (deep sigh) There was no break in at your father's house.
Barry: (confused) What do you mean?
Parker: Whoever it was your father let them in willingly and the house was destroyed to make it look like a robbery gone wrong. There wasn't even a struggle. Your father was hit so that it look like he put up a fight.
Barry: So my dad may of known his killer?
Parker: It's possible, but there were no prints or any other evidence to tell us who it was.
Barry: Who would wanna kill my dad? This makes no sense at all.
Parker: I know Singh doesn't want this to go cold. Maybe you and Iris could try talking to Nora again.
Barry: She's just getting back to herself. We can't put her through that again.
Parker: I know it's tough, but it could help solve this case and bring justice for your father. If Nora doesn't tell what she saw that night this case could go cold.
Parker goes back to her desk.
*Later that night*
Iris: I don't wanna put Nora through the horror of that night again. She's happy Bare she's smiling again. We can't take that away from her... But at the same time I want you to get the answers you deserve.
Barry: What's it gonna be?
Iris: (deep sigh) We'll talk to her, but we won't force anything out of her.
Barry: Okay.
Iris and I walk into Nora's room where she's playing. I pick her up and sit her on the bed and Iris and I sit in chairs right in front of her.
Iris: Nora daddy and I need to talk to you and we need your full attention. Okay?
Nora: Okay.
Barry: We need to talk to you about the night that grandpa Henry...
I hang my head not knowing what to say.
Iris: The night grandpa Henry got hurt. Sweetie it's really important that you tell us what happened.
Nora: I can't it's a secret mommy. If I tell the secret the man will hurt me too.
Barry: Honey no one is going to hurt you. I promise.
Nora: Yes he will daddy.
Iris: Nora do you know the man that hurt grandpa?
Nora: (softly) I don't know.
Iris and I look at each other. We both know that this is a lost cause. Nora isn't gonna tell anytime soon. We let her get back to playing and we go back downstairs.
Iris: I'm sorry Babe.
Barry: It's okay. I'm sure she'll talk when she's ready. I just wish we could get her to see that no one is going to hurt her.
Iris: Yea. It breaks my heart knowing she's walking around with that kind of weight.
Iris and I cuddle together. I want justice for my father, but I'm more pissed that someone has threatened my daughter. The rage that I feel is unreal.
A/N: * Hey Peaches! I'm struggling with this one so I need your help. Should I reveal Nora's big secret in the next chapter or wait until chapter five? Until next time my dear Peaches... *
