Ignore me accidentally publishing chapter 33 before 32 everyone. I'm kind of dysfunctional lately. That's never happened to me before whoo...a mess detected.

Anyway, enjoy the chapter & don't forget to vote!

Episode 32: Rumor Has It

Taylor was listening to his manager's instructions with a determined look on his face. He leaned forward and a lock of brown hair fell across his brow. He nodded at something Jackson was saying and then crossed his arms. That movement stretched the material of his shirt tight over his chest and his biceps.

Oh, wow.

Emily probably would've drooled if her mouth wasn't so dry from the heated moment she and Nicholas had shared in his car earlier.

He had insisted on dropping her off at work since it was on the way. Emily had a feeling it had something to do with him wanting her presence prolonged. Because of this, her lips had betrayed her rationality and agreed, despite knowing the risks of being seen together.

"They're really going at it, huh?"

Emily nodded her head and tried to drown out the discussion coming from Talia and Jackson, hers and Taylor's agents. It had been going on for what felt like hours now - and they had gotten fucking nowhere.

Letting out a deep sigh, she leaned her head back against the chair as the argument took on a whole new level and became a battle of who could shout louder.

What the hell was the big deal, anyway? She thought begrudgingly.

Jackson glared at her. "Tell that to the media!" He snapped.

Oops, had she said that out loud?

Someone behind the closed doors of the room grinned, looking thoroughly entertained by the disaster that had struck both her and Taylor.

The trouble was so worth it, she thought as she walked away to call the mastermind behind all of this.

"Is it done?" A feminine voice asked, her tone cold.

"Yes, Auntie."

"Good."

"You should've seen their faces this morning when the news broke. Emily was trying to hide the fact that she was affected but there was no way she couldn't be and-"

"Adrianna?"

"Yes?"

"Shut up."

The raven-haired girl winced.

On the other line, the woman bit down into her lip harshly at the thought of Emily fixing this situation she was stuck in.

"You just make sure that this topic doesn't go off the grid without doing some kind of damage to Emily's reputation. I didn't get you into the production for you to make a fool of yourself."

Adrianna felt her eyes water even though she was chewing down on her fingernails to stop it. The tears were still coming. Hearing her favourite person in the world call her a failure was causing a non-stop source of negative thoughts to explode in her head.

She really couldn't let her auntie down.

After all, she trusted her enough to give her this important task of taking down her rival.

If she couldn't do this much for her, what could she do?

The girl swallowed as she spoke once again, "I promise that I'll make her pay for what she's done to you. She won't get away this time. Not on my watch."
