Emily was busy scrolling through a catalogue for wedding dresses when Valentina came up and plunked down beside her on the couch.

"Have you seen this?"

The bride-to-be turned her head to look at what the woman was showing her on the phone.

The title of the video caught her attention before the actual content of it started being spoken about.

The actress couldn't do anything but blink stupidly at the screen as the reporter went on.

"Caught in a sticky situation, movie star and teenage sensation, Taylor Mcnabb is now being charged with the sexual harassment of a number of females who have come out and confirmed he indeed made several passes on them. His manipulative nature was revealed by his ex-girlfriend who is said to have persuaded these women to speak up against him. We haven't gotten a detailed follow-up of the case as yet but his lawyer is firm on reminding the public that this is only an accusation not a conviction."

Emily swallowed as she remembered their last encounter.

He had expressed outwardly that he didn't like the fact that she was in a committed relationship with Nicholas.

Could this have been the eventual outcome between the two of them if he wasn't exposed like this?

"Taylor is still standing by his initial plea of being innocent. His fans, Nabbies, are chanting the same all over the world. It is yet to be determined what will be the fate of this international sensation but many are saying the most he'll probably get is a sanction and move on."

The actress' mouth twisted.

It was stuff like this that had her lose faith in mankind.

Hearing such a thing made her heart ache and her anger spike, knowing that would ostensibly be the result of all of this.

Famous people- no, famous men always got to exploit the non-existent loopholes of the law.

Because they felt like they were the law.

It made her sick to witness another scenario in which this would take place.

"I still can't wrap my head around how someone like Taylor could be this despicable. He was always so nice to me and a bonus was the fact that he hated that bitch Adrianna as much as I did. It seems almost ridiculous to pin him as a...an assaulter. With that pretty face and lean body, he would be the assaulted."

She couldn't help but chuckle at Valentina's words after recalling how that was close to being the case with him and Nicholas.

"Wolf in a sheep's clothing," the girl said before handing back the phone to her.

"Those people really scare the shit out of me."

Emily's head turned at the slight tremble in her friend's voice.

"It creeps me out how people can hide their true selves for so long. How they can be so nice and outgoing but beyond the surface they are some of the vilest people you could ever meet."

Her pretty eyes were casted outwards as if she was in an emotional stupor.

"I can't help but agree more," the brunette muttered.

"It's one of the scariest things to encounter. You never truly know who he or she is like because they can show you anything until they don't need to pretend anymore. I'm sure you know this already but as actresses we meet fake people like that on the daily. More than the regular person does which sucks."
