Hey, loves. I just wanna leave a little note for anyone who has been having a hard time recently. It could be for any reason; lack of self esteem, depression, familial matters, financial issues, health problems, exam stress...I just want to tell you that it's all gonna be okay. It may not look that way right now, but it will be in the future. Trust me. Behind every grey cloud there's always a silver lining. As Henry David Thoreau once said, "All misfortune is but a stepping stone to fortune."

So don't give up. Keep fighting!

With that being said, let's continue with where we left off in the story amongst the twins and Emily.

Episode 36: Jealousy

"What did you just say?"

"You heard me."

There was the most condescending smile on her face and it was getting on Emily's nerves. She was tempted to snatch Brenda by the hair and force her to stop beating around the bush, but she was taught better than that- raised better than that to engage in such lowly affairs, especially with family.

She adjusted herself to the situation. Seeing the smirk which was growing on Brenda's face made her temper rise so she looked straight past her as she asked lowly, "Where's Bridget as of this moment?"

The girl shrugged.

The top of Emily's eyes twitched and she stepped forward, an air of danger surrounding her and the amusement on the girl's face died.

"I'm not going to ask you again, Brenda. Where the hell is Bridget?"

Over the past two decades and a little more, she couldn't recall ever seeing her cousin so worked up over something. She remembered in the fourth grade, Tommy was the first boy to extract any kind of feelings from the perfectionist who was Emily. Seeing that, Brenda had gone ahead and stole him from her on purpose. Albeit, she only promised to buy him ice-cream cones every day if he played with her and not Emily. Still, it worked. Unfortunately, there wasn't much of a response from the victim herself. Her college love interest had been too nerdy for any of the twins to seek after and the hottie Jake was even more problematic than they were.

Now it seemed there was someone else who could get under Emily's skin.

The woman's eyes were alight with fire and fury no matter how hard she tried to conceal it. Her fists were shaking and the skin above her eyes jumped irregularly. Not to mention how tense she had became.

Interesting, Brenda noted in half excitement and half trepidation.

She decided to continue to taunt Emily even though she was growing wary by the minute.

"How am I supposed to know my sister's every move?"

Memories of Bridget attempting to get close to Jake resurfaced and a hand snapped out, gripping Brenda by the arm as the idea of that reoccurring with Nicholas was conjured up.

Emily was squeezing the girl's arm severely hard until she let out a loud squeak.

"Ouch! You're hurting me, you psycho!"

"Tell me where your sister is and I'll let go. If not, I won't delay applying more pressure..." Her fingers sunk into the girl's skin once more making her begin to panic.
