You're Blooming the Wrong Way

Chapter Eighteen

To mark the day that I started dating Haru, both of us agreed to have our first date the next day. A little part of me was looking forward on it, but that anticipation was nothing compared to my partner's excitement. Alas-dos pa lamang ng madaling araw ay naalimpungatan na ako mula sa pagtulog dahil tinawagan ako ni Haru. Aniya, hindi raw siya makatulog sa sobrang galak.

"Wah! What are you doing here, Lucy?!" Haru screamed from the crowd upon arriving at the meeting place. My cheeks heated due to the curious glances of the people within the proximity. Well, it's impossible not to notice a good-looking guy like him. After all, Shiota Haru is a walking irony. He's so tall, yet he has a baby face.

"Are you seriously asking me why I'm here? I'm your date, dumbass." I replied then stared daggers at him.

I ran an eye over him. He looks badass in his black tee and ripped jeans. Thankfully, our outfits miraculously blended. I settled on wearing a pair of denim shorts and an army green blouse. Kung nagkataong nagsuot ako ng dress, mukha kaming tanga.

"No, no. That's not it." Tumingin si Haru sa kanyang relo. "We still have thirty minutes before the meeting time, Lucy! B-Ba't nandito na ikaw?!" His mouth widened in surprise. I scoffed at his reaction.

"I had nothing else to do, so I came here early."

I heaved out a deep sigh when Haru giggled. Why do I have this feeling that I'm about to be misunderstood by this idiot? "Uwah! You were too excited, right? You couldn't wait to meet me that's why you came so early!" Sinundot-sundot niya ako sa tagiliran.

"Yeah, sure." I replied in a straight face.

"Fufu~ You like me so much, Lucy!"

Napasapo ako sa aking noo. "Ang kulit!"

I was about to yell at him when somebody tiptoed from Haru's shoulder. My eyes widened in surprise upon meeting the gaze of the boy in glasses. Kinusot ko pa ang mga mata ko upang masiguro na tama ang nakikita ko. Hindi ko siya napansin noong una dahil masyadong matangkad si Haru na nasa unahan niya!

"What the fuck are you doing here, Hana?"

Hana looked comfortable in his black hoodie and gray sweatpants. I commended him at the back of my mind. Somehow, I feel like his fashion sense improved. He's still a wimpy boy, though.

He laughed. "Nagpahatid siya sa akin dahil hindi pa siya marunong bumiyahe mag-isa dito. Iiyak 'yan si Haru kapag naligaw."

My jaw dropped in disbelief. Nagpahatid si Haru! Nagpahatid siya sa first date niya! Para siyang kinder na hinatid ng nanay niya!

Nilingon ko ang loko at nakangiti niya akong kinawayan.

"Too cute!" I commented then shook my head. Sinimulan kong paypayan ang aking mukha. "What is this adorable creature? I don't think I can handle him the whole day!" problemado kong sabi.

"Bye-bye, Hana! You can leave! Thank you!" Haru politely told his brother. He waved his hand dismissively. "Shoo! Go home!"

"Sorry, but no." Inayos ni Hana ang suot niyang salamin. "I refuse to leave. Do you think I brought you here for free?" He smiled.

Haru scowled. "You're so annoying! Don't tell me you're planning to tag along in our first date?!" bulyaw niya kay Hana.

Nakangiti namang lumingon si Hana sa akin. "Why not?"

"I should have known!" Haru pulled his own hair in frustration. He grudingly stomped his feet. "You're here to ruin my first date!"

Hana cleared his throat. "You're wrong. I'm here to make sure that Lucy maintains her virginity through the day." Nagtaka naman ako sa sinabi niya. "When I peeked into your room yesterday, you were having a random nosebleed in the middle of the night--" He was interrupted by the giant baby who immediately covered his mouth.
