Hello, my fellow wattpad users. Please spare some time to read this part. "You're Blooming the Wrong Way" has finally come to an end, but I felt the need to explain why I ended it like that. Here are the reasons behind the ending:

1. Hana Shiota was an indecisive guy who lacked some balls.

- Shame, but this is how he turned out when I wrote the story. Hana was in love with Lars, and when the love of his life got into an accident, he diverted his attention to his twin, Lucy. He was a complicated character. He kept on giving mixed signals to Lucy, and he couldn't decide on his stand as the story progressed. When Haru came to Lucy's life, that's when he decided to move and to make his feelings clear. He was a second too late.

2. Haru Shiota deserved Lucy the most.

- I'm sorry, but this is what I really think. Haru was introduced as an immature and socially inept character, but at least he knew what he wanted. To be honest, he's my favorite out of everyone, so I might've been biased. But I loved his character development, wherein he was mature enough to handle the breakup professionally. Instead of acting childishly, he accepted things as they are. He managed to let Lucy go, and he didn't harbor negative feelings. He deserved her the most.

3. I didn't want the story to be cliche.

- Normally, the story would've ended with Lucy choosing Hana over Haru (given that Hana is the leading man of the story). But I wanted to deviate from the norms, I wanted my story to be different. For once, I wanted the second lead to get the girl, because Haru deserved it. I didn't feel compelled to make Hana the endgame just because he's the leading man. A twist, my friend. It's called a twist.

4. I wanted the story to be realistic.

- Let's face the reality, folks. Not all feelings blossom into the kind of love that lasts. If you wanna have something, you should do something as well. In this case, all of them were too young to fully understand love. It's a story of youth and falling in love for the first time, and the mistakes that lead to regrets that will haunt you for the rest of your life.

5. I value friendship more than love.

- Believe me, it was hard for me to decide how to end the story. I think it's beautiful how Hana and Lucy were great friends who both helped each other grow. Lucy served as Hana's strength in overcoming his fear of being judged by other people. But for me, they didn't need to be lovers. I felt that their sense of friendship was stronger than the attraction.

So, that's it! I'm sorry if it didn't end the way you wanted it to, but I have no regrets. I was attached to each character, and I thought about the ending carefully. I have my own reasons, and I stated them above. I hope you understand that this story is different from your typical high school love story.

Oh, I have one last reason: I wanted to hurt everyone, including myself. Fufu~ No kidding. I wanted to leave a bittersweet taste on your mouth after reading the story. I hope it worked.

Thank you for reading this story, everyone!

Yours Truly,
Aomine-san
