Bill's PoV
"What color?"
Stan was over at my house and we were in my parents bathroom. He was picking out a nail polish color for me to paint his nails with.
"Uh I don't know."
I looked up at him and he looked, slightly uncomfortable.
"Are you sure you're ok with this? You don't have to paint your nails." I told him.
"No I want to, I think. Maybe just my pinkie to see how I like it."
"Ok. Well, my mom has your favorite color, so let's use that one." I suggested.
He nodded his head and I grabbed the baby blue bottle, along with the clear coat and a pastel pink for me. I took his hand and led him to my room, in case my parents need to use their bathroom.
"Can you paint yours first?" He asked.
"Sure."
Since Stan said he liked my nails painted, I've painted them quite frequently. He's watched me paint them most of the time and this time he asked if I could paint his. I agreed right away, because what's more fun then painting your boyfriends nails. But if he doesn't want to I'm not gonna make him.
As I painted my nails, he carefully watched just like every other time. When I was about to finish, Georgie walked in.
"Hey Billy, Hey Stan."
"Hi Georgie." Stan and I said.
"Ohhh. Can you do mine again? Please." Georgie asked me. He jumped up and down, pouting. I laughed.
"Sure. Go pick out a color."
He grinned before he ran out of my room. I've only painted Georgie's nails twice since the first time. He hasn't gotten picked on, which I am so thankful for. He's said the girls in his grade even have complemented his choice in colors.
Georgie came back when my nails had finished drying and I did his. He was really happy once again, and right when I finished, he gave me another big hug.
"Are you gonna paint Stan's now?" He asked.
"I don't know. Are we Stan?" I asked looking at him.
"Um. Start with just my pinkie please." He held out his left hand and I started painting it.
He examined his hand when I finished his pinkie.
"Do you want me to continue?"
He thought for a moment before he shook his head. "I'm good with this, thank you."
"No problem Stanny." I said with a giggle. He smiled at me and pulled me onto his lap.
"Let's go show mom!" Georgie happily spoke.
He grabbed my hand and pulled me off of my boyfriends lap. I quickly grabbed Stan's hand so I could drag him with me. Georgie dragged us to the living room where my mom was reading. As well as my dad was.
"Mom! Look, Billy painted my nails again." My brother said, showing my mom his nails.
"Those are some cute colors." She said admiring his nails. My mom gave me a sincere smile that I gave her back.
"Look dad." Georgie walked over to where my dad was sitting and showed him.
I got a little worried about what my dad was going to say. Was he going to say to wash it off because it's for girls? That would seriously hurt Georgie.
"That's really pretty Georgie." Was what he said.
"Thanks. Billy did his too, and Stan's pinkie."
I felt my dads eyes on me and when I looked at him, he was looking at my hands. I crossed my arms over my chest so he couldn't see them anymore, and looked at the floor.
"Are you going to stay for supper Stan?" My dad asked.
I'm not exactly sure if my dad knows Stan's my boyfriend or not. If my mom or Georgie told him yet, but I don't care. I'd rather my dad not get to know him.
"No sir." Stan responded politely.
"I'd like it if-" my dad started to say, but I cut him off.
I grabbed Stan's hand and started walking out of the living room. "Stan and I have homework to do mom."
"Ok sweetie." I heard her say.
"We already finished our homework." Stan told me when we got back to my room.
"Yeah I know." I said.
"I think you should at least talk to him Bill." Stan said after we had sat there in a silence.
"No way! I'm not speaking to him!" I vigorously shook my head.
"Bill,-"
"No. You said you respected my decision." I glared at him.
"Just listen to me Bill. It's been a week since he has been home and you haven't even glanced at him, he's probably torn up inside. He's been trying to talk to you and you haven't let him anywhere near you. I get that you're hurt because he left after you came out, he's probably hurting too. Just talk to him."
"No. Would you talk to your dad if he came back?" I asked him.
He flinched and I immediately felt guilty. I told him I'd never bring his dad up unless absolutely necessary, and this wasn't necessary.
"I would let him explain, but I wouldn't forgive him." He said, staring me straight in the eyes.
"I'm sorry I brought up your dad." I sighed.
I walked over to the bed where he was sitting. I laid down in front of him and he instantly put his arm around me.
"It's ok."
"I just can't talk to him ok? It's just easier to not even acknowledge him. He isn't proud of me Stan."
I buried my face into his chest and started crying. Stan pulled me close to him and wrapped his arms me, comforting me. I snuggled into him, keeping my arms in front of my chest. He whispered into my ear, helping me calm down.
"Shhh, it's ok Bill. It's ok." He whispered, rubbing my back.
"How can I ever forgive him?"
"With your heart."
