Chapter 51

Stan's PoV

"What-?" Bill asked in disbelief.

"Yes love." I said as I walked over to him.

"You mean, he's- he's alive?"

I nodded my head while smiling.

Bill gaped at me before he collapsed, luckily I caught him and I eased us onto the ground. I pulled him into my lap and wrapped my arms around him.

"You okay love?"

He started to bawl as he clung onto me. I played with his hair, letting him cry into my chest.

"Shhh love. It's okay now." I whispered into his ear.

He continued to cry for a couple more minutes before he slowly came to a stop. He pulled away to look at me.

I smiled softly and brought my hands up to his cheeks. He looked me in the eye and sniffled. I kissed his forehead before I wiped away his tears.

"Can you drive baby?"

Hearing that Georgie is back is big news and he might not be stable enough to drive. I'll drive if I have to, I really need to get my license.

"Yeah." He said sniffling.

"Okay love. But pull over if you need to."

"I will."

He got off of my lap and stood up, extending his hand out to me. I grabbed it and he helped pull me up. I wiped whatever dirt was on my butt and walked over to the car.

Bill got into the drivers seat and started the car while I got in the passenger side and buckled. Bill buckled as well and started backing out of the driveway.

I placed my hand on bill's lower thigh as he started racing down the road.

"Love slow down." I told him.

"I can't. I need to see Georgie."

"And you will love. He isn't going anywhere."

"You don't know that!" He yelled.

"Relax love. He's at the police station with your mom." I spoke calmly.

He sighed and ran one hand through his hair.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell."

"I know love."

He nodded. "It's just, that I didn't think he'd go anywhere before. I didn't think Georgie would ever be taken out of my life." He placed his hand back on the wheel before continuing. "It's scary. I don't want to lose him again. I don't think I can take that."

"It's okay now love."

"I believe you."

I smiled. "Good."

We drove the rest of the way to the police station in a comfortable silence. Once we got there, Bill parked and quickly shut of the car and unbuckled. I unbuckled my seatbelt and we got out of the car.

I grabbed his hand and we walked into the police station together. When he let go, I knew he had spotted Georgie. Georgie was sitting at one of the officers desk with his mother on one side and a young boy, wand who I assume is his mom, on the other.

"Georgie!"

The young boy turned around in his seat and immediately smiled when he saw Bill.

"Billy!"

I watched as Bill ran over to Georgie and picked him up, hugging him gently. Georgie wrapped his tiny arms around his older brother and laid his head on Bill's shoulder.

I walked over to them and stood behind Sharon. She turned around and looked up at me.

"Thank you Stan."

"What for?" I asked confused.

"Everything." She said before turning back to face the officer.

I was genuinely confused but I smiled anyways. Bill sat down in Georgie's chair with his little brother on his lap, so I stood behind my boyfriends chair and put my hands on his shoulders.

Sharon and the other women, who's name I found out is Mary, continued to talk with the policeman. After about an hour, we were free to leave.

I rode with Bill in his car while Georgie rode with Sharon to their house. Once we all got home, Sharon took Georgie into the bathroom to give him a nice warm bath.

Bill led me upstairs and to his room. I laid down on his bed on my back and opened my arms. He smiled at me and laid down on top of me.

I wrapped my arms around Bill and he laid his head on my chest. I rubbed his back and he closed his eyes.

"Stan?"

"Yeah love?"

"I love you."

"I love you too."

I put one of my hands in his hair and started playing with Bill's hair.

"Don't ever leave me. Don't go."

"I won't love."

"And I won't ever leave you again. I'm so sorry Stan."

"It's okay love. It's in the past. Don't worry about it Bill."

"I'll try not to."

"Get some rest okay?"

Bill nodded his head.

I hummed quietly until he fell asleep.
