Stan's PoV
Another couple of weeks have gone by. It's been exactly 23 days since Georgie's disappeared. Bill's doing better, a lot better. His therapist decided not to put him on medication, saying it could make it worse and not help.
He's been going to talk therapy and that is helping a lot. Bill tells me about his meetings because it's just him and his therapist, so he is allowed to tell me whatever he wants. He says it helps even more by telling me too and I'm not gonna stop him.
All of Georgie's missing posters are gone. It's like they just forgot about him. I still believe he is out there though, that he's alive. Bill spends some nights in Georgie's room. Sleeping in the bed that is way to small for him.
Anyways, since Bill is at one of his meetings I decided to do some of my homework, maybe get ahead in a few of my classes. Occasionally, Richie would text me, asking me for answers because he didn't feel like doing the work.
Which surprises me, he doesn't do the homework but he aces the tests. No one would think Richie Tozier is naturally smart, but he is. But I eventually stopped answering him because he was asking every five seconds.
I decided to take a break and get some food. I have been working on homework for three hours. I walked into the kitchen and got a class of water and some chips. I was about to walk back to my room when the doorbell rang. I set my food down and walked to the door.
The person knocked. "Stanny? Sophia? Are either of you home? I need help." A small voice spoke.
I immediately opened the door because the only other person, besides Bill, who calls me Stanny, is..
"Georgie." I breathed out.
I looked at him, he was covered in dirt and had scratches and bruises all over him. I picked him up and hugged him carefully. He wrapped his tiny arms around my neck weakly.
"Hi Stanny."
I started to cry and carried him into the house, closing the door behind us. I walked back to my room and sat down on my chair, Georgie on my lap, and I grabbed my phone.
"Stanny are you gonna call the police?" He asked.
"Yes Georgie."
"Can you hurry. Jacob is still there."
I looked at him. "Jacob?"
"Yeah. He was there when I got there."
"Where were you Georgie?"
"A couple streets down in the basement of an abandoned house. The man went out so I snuck out through a window. I told Jacob I'd come back for him." He explained quietly.
I pulled him into another hug and rubbed his back with one hand, while I dialed 911 on my phone with the other. I told them everything that happened since Georgie knocked on my door. They were sending people over here, and more a couple streets down to look for Jacob.
Next I called Sharon and put her on speaker.
"Hello?" She answered.
"Mommy it's Georgie. I'm at Stanny's."
"Georgie! Is it really you?" Sharon cried out.
"Yes mommy. I missed you."
"I missed you too Sweetie." She said before she started sobbing.
Someone knocked on the door. The police. Wow they sure are fast.
"Sharon, we have to go. The police are here. You can come down." I told her.
"I'll be there soon. I love you Georgie."
"I love you too mom."
I hung up the call and walked to the front door with Georgie. I opened the door and let the police in. I led them to the living room and we all sat down before they began asking Georgie questions.
It had been about ten minutes before Sharon arrived, I let her in and she sat on the couch with her son in her lap.
"Have you gotten Jacob yet?" Georgie asked, interrupting the police from talking with his mom.
One of the police officers, Heins as it said in his tag, picked up his walkie talkie, or whatever it's called, and spoke into it. A few moments later there was a response.
"Yes sir, we are bringing the kid down to the station."
"And what about the man Marks?"
"Dead sir."
"Alright, you know what to do with him."
With that Heins re-clipped his walkie-talkie back to his belt and looked at Georgie as he stood up.
"Well kid, you get to see your friend again."
"Yay!" Georgie said happily as he got off his moms lap.
"We have to take him in the police car but you're more then welcome to follow us."
Shanon nodded her head and stood up along with the other officer, as did I.
"I'll meet you there with Bill. I'll walk to your house since his session is almost over." I told Sharon.
"Thank you Stan."
I nodded my head and they all walked out of my apartment. I quickly put on my shoes and grabbed a sweatshirt before I also left.
I quickly walked to Bill's house, it took me about ten minutes but luckily he wasn't back yet. I waited patiently outside on his front door step.
Finally he pulled into the drive way. I got off the step and Bill got out of his car.
"Stan? What are you doing here?" He asked with a smile. "We don't have plans till later."
"Well we are canceling those plans." I said.
He frowned. "What? Why?"
"Georgie's back."
