Sam POV

"You really don't think that will work, do you?"

"What do you mean "Do yOu ThInk iT WilL WorK?" Of course, it will."

It didn't work. The so-called foolproof plan didn't work, and now they are stuck. The plan. The plan was to sneak into the girls' locker room, ruin Jenny's belongings, and get out. Easy. Nothing could go wrong. That is unless they get the hours the girls have practice wrong.

So what would two able-bodied high school boys do when they hear girls coming through the door? Go fo the air ducts in the bathroom. Unfortunately, that is where they are now. Two hours later. Laying in the ducts praying they don't break. Waiting for the girls to leave for good because they didn't know how long they practiced and didn't want to get caught when trying to make their escape.

"I thought you said it would work..."

"Sam, I get it. now shut up," Gabriel snapped.

And Sam did just that. He was tired. Staying in the ventilation for so long was not something he had ever wanted to do. Never had it once been on his bucket list, but he guesses he can now mark it off. He looked at his phone clock to see the time only to see multiple texts from his brother. The first ones were just the regular "Where are you?" and what not. But the further he read along, the more he wished he would have checked his phone earlier. Dean was stressed and obviously thought he was either dead in a ditch somewhere or their father had gotten him.

Using one hand, he answered his brother telling him that Gabriel and he would be home a little later. Of course, he left out the major details as to why, but he did promise an explanation when they got home.

"What are you doing?" Gabriel's voice made it so obvious that he was annoyed and it made Sam want to laugh, but he refrained for the sake of his friend.

"Telling Dean that we will be late," Sam answered. "He spammed by texts asking about us."

"Oh shit, Cas."

Both boys felt guilty that they did not inform their older siblings, especially knowing how much they worried. But it had honestly slipped their minds.

"He left me on read. I am so going to get it when we get home." As much as Gabriel tried to make it sound like a joke, Sam knew that he was worried about it. He didn't like to worry his older brother. It reminded the two of them too much of their old life when Gabriel would be gone for days without letting Castiel know where he was.

Sam, in a way, was happy he didn't know about anything until the end. It saved him from years of getting over it all. It gave him a chance to live his life normally for a few years. He did, however, wish he would have known sooner, because then maybe Dean wouldn't have suffered for so long. But who knows? There is a reason Dean kept this all from him. He knew his brother feared that their father would turn on him and not just take out his anger on his older son. Sam was grateful for his brother and all he had done for him, so making him so worried bugged him more than he ever cared to admit. It most likely didn't help that John had been strangely quiet. Not even trying to get the two of them back.

Sighing, Sam shook his head to get the thoughts out of his head. He was in no position to be rethinking what his life is and what it could have been.

"So are we just gonna stay here until they leave?" Gabriel looked at Sam like he was supposed to know what to do. "Because I am starting to get a cramp in my lower back from being so cramped."

"I guess, I mean at this point practice can't be that much longer. Right?"

Unfortunately for them not much longer turned out to be another 30 minutes before they could hear the girls coming into the locker room. For Sam, it was the longest half hour in his life. Gabriel and he didn't say a single word fearing that someone would hear them.

"Hey Gabriel," Sam breathed.

"Yeah?"

"How are we gonna know when the last one leaves?"

"Oh shit."

Sam was ready to scream. He sent a small thanks to God that he wasn't claustrophobic because by then he would have lost his mind.

"How many girls are on the team?"

"I don't know...12? 13? Can't be more than that."

"I have heard the door open and close 8 times," Gabe started, " and girls travel in pacts. I also haven't heard any noise. So, it is very likely that the locker room is emp-"

Before he could finish his sentence, they both heard noises in the locker room. Noises that most likely have no business being made at the school.

"That sounds like Jenny."

"What?" Sam was more focused on not listening to what he was hearing to notice that Gabriel was moving toward the exit. By the time he focused on the other boy, he was halfway out of the ducts and maneuvering himself to stand on the toilet. Not able to find his voice, Sam just watched as Gabe made his way to the main part of the room. Seconds later a very disturbed looking Gabe came back into view phone out.

"Dude," he whispered obviously shocked.

Sam looked at the screen and almost didn't believe was he was seeing. Two people on the screen were obviously having a good time. At the angel of the picture, you could clearly see who it was. Jenny and the assistant basketball coach.

"Get down from there and we can sneak out. The two of them are too entertained at the moment to see the two of us if we run."

Sam was too shocked to register half of what his friend said, so he just obeyed and climbed down unceremoniously until he was on the ground. He couldn't help but stop for a second and be impressed with himself at his quiet descent.

"I wish I would have had half a mind to videotape that because you looked like a baby giraffe trying to get out of a tree." Gabriel's voice brought him out of his own mental celebration and he couldn't stop the blush that spread across his cheeks.

"Let's just get out of here," he ignored the other boy's comment.

"On three?" Gabe looked at him before he started to count. "1....2..."

Before Gabe could get the last number out of his mouth, Sam took off for the door. He didn't stop running until he was off school grounds. Looking back, he could see Gabe running towards him at full speed. Not thinking the other boy would run into him, Sam just stood there. Oh, no is the last thing he thought before Gabriel jumped on him.

"I thought we agreed on 3," he seethed looking down at the disoriented kid.

"You took too long," Sam wheezed out after a few seconds.

Gabe finally clambered off of him then held out a hand to help him up. Sam took his hand and dusted himself off. Then he turned to look at Gabe before busting out laughing.

"Oh my Gawd! That all really just happened!" Sam all but yelled between laughs. It wasn't long until the other boy joined him.

Still laughing, the two of them began to make their way home. Everything felt like a dream and Sam began to find it hard to believe it even happened. The two of them walked home giggling and recounting the story. For some reason, the whole thing was ridiculously funny.

By the time they got home, though, their laughter ceased. Standing on the porch was Bobby, Cas, and Dean. All three of them looked pissed as hell.

"I don't think tonight will be much fun," Gabe muttered.

"I dOn'T ThiNk TonIGHt wIlL bE mUcH fUN."
