Getting Dean to his house was one of the hardest things Cas has ever attempted to do. He never once thought about how Bobby would react, or Sam. All he could think about when he saw Dean was that he had to get him out of there. Nothing mattered more. But now, sitting in front of Bobby's, he is rethinking his rash decision. Dean had fallen asleep in the passenger seat much to Cas' relief.
Getting out of his car, he moved over to Dean's side and brushed away all his negative thoughts. Bobby would not be too angry at him. He did not want to leave Dean in the first place. Slowly and carefully Cas pulled Dean out of the car and carried him into the house. He tried to keep his mind blank, but it couldn't, more like wouldn't, stop wondering. He kept imagining scenarios in his head. All the what ifs and could have beens. He really did not see anyway that things would have turned out okay if he had left Dean at the grace of his father.
After a lot of struggling and swearing, Cas finally got into the house. It was not that Dean was heavy, because that was not the case at all, but the fact that Cas was a bit of a klutz and opening a door with a person in your arms is not an easy feat. Apparently he had caused a bit of an uproar, because the second after he laid Dean down in the guest room and walked out of the room, he was met with a very irritated Bobby. He could feel the confusion and anger rolling off of him, and he would be lying if he said it didn't make him nervous.
"I think you have some explaining to do." With that short phrase, Bobby walked to the dining area. Signing, he followed him. Breathing deeply, he sat down across from Bobby and waited for... well he really didn't know what he was waiting for. "Now tell me, why the hell is Dean here. And also, how the hell did you get him."
"Well," Cas started off, but was unable to continue. He was scared of what to say. He had never done anything to really anger the man sitting across from him, and he didn't know what to expect. He knew Bobby was not like the family he had come from, but that did little to calm his nerves. Deciding to try again, he quietly restated the nights events not once meeting Bobby's eyes.
"You shouldn't have put yourself in danger like that boy." Bobby's gruff voice sent shivers down Cas' spine.
"I-I know, but I couldn't leave him there, Bob-Bobby," Cas just stopped talking then. He was stuttering again and that could lead to worse things to come. He just let his head fall in defeat and accepted what ever what going to happen to him. He could only pray that it wouldn't be too bad. Like the time his mother had bur-
A hand on his shoulder cut off the painful memory. Flinching, he shrunk down further in the chair in a sign of submission, not wanting to worsen the situation any further. The only thing that he was proud of was the fact that he was not shaking. It was a small sign of improvement. "I'm not gonna hurt ya boy. I was just worried."
"I know, just..." He just gave up on trying to find the right word. It was impossible to describe a feeling you did not understand yourself. He knew in his heart that Bobby would never hurt him, but he couldn't stop the confusion and fear that built in his system when someone moved too fast, or gave him a weird look.
"Just go to bed kid, we will talk more in the morning. Just remember you are safe here. No one is gonna get ya as long as I have a say in the matter."
Bobby's words meant a lot to the young boy, but again he did not have a way to put forth what he was feeling. So he simply nodded and went to his room to try and sleep off the stress the day had brought.
