"11:52," Bruce whispers between clenched teeth and an award-winning smile.
I silently thank him, then focus my attention on my surroundings. I spot a couple cameras off to my right and left, their glass lenses aimed straight at me. I try not to spend too much time looking at them, and instead focus on the familiar faces around me.
I notice the looks of ease each person gives me. Oliver smiles encouragingly while giving me a firm nod. His son, Conner, smirks from beside him. Janet gives as supportive thumbs up, careful not to drop Emma while Artemis signals for me to take a deep breath. Garfield flashes me a goofy smile and Rachel gives me her own small and supportive smile. Arthur and Mera both wink at me, their hands clasped together tightly. I make eye contact with one last person, and my figure relaxes as my mother smiles sweetly and makes a motion, reminding me to smile.
"11:53," Bruce speaks lowly.
I turn my attention to the the alter and nearly melt. Jason stands with a dazzling smile decorating his face. His hair is slicked back and shining and his figure is dressed in a crisp red tuxedo jacket with black detailing and a pair of black dress pants. His shoes glisten as he shifts his stance, a nervous twitch. His eyes glance over me before meeting mine. He shakes his head in awe, and I even notice him mouth the word, 'wow'. I duck my head slightly, but quickly remember that I'm being watched by all of Gotham.
I take a quick glance beside Jason at all of his groomsmen. I admit, they look nice. Roy stands close to Jay, placing a hand on his shoulder as he whispers something between them before winking at me. I blush slightly only imagining what could have been said. My eyes shift farther down the line, and Antonio and I lock gazes. His nods towards me, a smile evident on his face, but within his eyes I can a bit of sadness. A part of me feels guilty knowing I put that heartbreak inside of him, but part of me is also happy. This way he finds a girl who is truly worthy of his amazing heart. I quickly peek at Dina and notice how she stares at him longingly.
My focus shifts back to the front, and I realize that Bruce and I have made it to the alter. I press my lips in a tight, nervous smile as I hand Dina the rose bouquet and Bruce places my hands delicately in Jason's. He reaches for Jason, leaning in close to whispers instructions to him.
"She's not feeling well. Keep repeating the time." He instructs. Jason sends me a concerned glance but quickly plants a comforting smile on his face and he nods to Bruce's command.
Bruce looks at me and leans up to place a quick peck on my forehead. I can't help but be slightly shocked by the action. "We love you." He says quietly, "11:54." He walks away from the alter, going to take his place in the front row beside Alfred, Aunt Selina, Aunt Ivy, Mom, and Preston.
All the guest sit as I adjust myself so that Jason and I are parallel to one another. He looks straight into my eyes, nothing but admiration for me being projected within his blue orbs.
"You look absolutely gorgeous." He sighs, his voice laced with emotion. He's falling in love all over again.
"And you look so handsome." My tone mimics his as I can feel my body running through the signs that tell me I'm in love with him.
"Dearly beloved," The officiator begins, "We are gathered here today to witness the union of this man," he motions to Jason, who stands up straighter at the words, "and this women. If there is anyone here that sees any reason that these two should not be married speak now or forever hold your peace."
