Back to Lucy's POV

I shake my hand violently while blowing on my palm, trying to ease the aching muscle.

"Are you sure you don't want my help?" Jason ask from his position on the bed.

"No, no, I got it." I respond, picking up the ink pen and waving it in the air.

I lower the pen onto the cream colored invitation and begin writing the sentence that is now forever etched into my brain.

You're Invited

Jason Todd & Lucy Quinn
Formally request your presence
At the celebration of their union
Saturday, May 16th, 2016

I smile as I remove the pen from the paper and slip the invitation into the envelope before delicately inscribing the recipients' name onto the colored paper.

Barry & Iris Allen

I lean back in the chair, heaving a breath of relief as I stretch my arms.

"Finally, finished?" Jason ask as he appears behind me. He places a steady hand on the back of the chair while leaning down and fanning out the multiple invitations.

"Yes, after four tiring hours." I sigh.

Jason leans over and pecks my lips, causing me to smile widely. "They look beautiful." He compliments, quietly.

I nod as I push my body forward and begin gathering the invitations into my arms. I place them in small, neat stacks, binding them together using pale ribbon, then place them in my bag.

"I'll mail them off tomorrow." I say, standing from the chair and stretching the rest of my tired and tense muscles.

Jason nods, but his eyebrows furrow as he notices something underneath the desk. He crawls under and retrieves whatever object his eyes have landed on.

"You missed one." He says as he extends the blank card towards me.

My face scrunches in confusion. I take the invitation from him and turn it over in my hands. My mind fills with names as I try to figure out who I have forgotten to invite.

"That's impossible. I know I made an invitation for everyone." I explain, my face still scrunched, and my head still running names.

"Maybe it's an extra?" Jason suggest, his shoulders giving a small shrug.

"No." I shake my head. "I had the exact number of invitations needed. No more, no less."

"Look, you're stressed. You probably need to take a break. Come sit with me, and clear your mind. I'm sure you'll remember the missing person later." Jason takes the off-white parchment from my hand, and guides me to the bed.

We stumble onto the plush mattress, adjusting ourselves so that we end up laying across from one another, staring deep into one another's eyes. Jason reaches over and tucks a stray stand of green hair behind my ear. I give a small smile as I fold in on myself, tucking myself into a small ball.

"You know, there's still a lot I have to learn about you." Jason whispers, a small smirk balancing on his lips.

"What do you mean?" I giggle. "You know almost everything. All the major things anyway."

"That's just it. I know all the major details. I want to know the minor things. The little kinks that make you different." Jason raises an eyebrow.
