Mary's Pov.
"Mary! There you are! I have been looking everywhere for you." Emily said running towards her with a smile on her face that didn't reach her eyes.
"Oh sorry Em, I was just-- ok I don't want to lie, you've been looking sad all day. What's wrong?" I ask her. I have always been good at reading people and their emotions. Some are easier than others. Emily for example, hides them really well but I eventually see through her.
"Oh darn! I thought you didn't notice but who am I kidding-- you always do. Ok well... you know that math test we had last week?" She responded.
"Yeah...?" Confusion flickered in my eyes.
"Well... I may or may not have failed it?" It came out more like a question.
"Oh god Em! I'm so sorry! I wish I could take back my question." And I meant it. Emily always worried about her grades and whenever she got a B- or lower she cried.
"No no. It actually feels good to talk about it."
"Ok well I got to leave to my house. Will you be ok here?" I wish I didn't have to leave.
"Yeah I will be fine. Bye girl!" Em waved.
"Bye!" I yelled back to her.
As I was walking home I started feeling a pain in my head. "Ugh." I groaned putting my hand to my head. I continued walking. Minutes later the pain worsened and I started staggering and felt dizzy. Suddenly everything went dark.
