I woke up to the sound of my alarm going off. Great. I have school today along with pain in my side. I got out of bed and turned on some music to lift my mood. I went to my closet to choose what I was gonna wear. It was getting slightly cooler but it was still hot. I settled on a baby blue flowy tank top and white shorts. For shoes I chose my blue converses (I don't know what they are called lmao).

I went downstairs and made some toast and berries for breakfast. After I finished I went to brush my teeth and style my hair. I chose 2 French braids for my hairs and tied a baby blue ribbon on top of the hair bands. I grabbed my blue bag and quickly drove to school.
Thankfully I arrived early. I saw Emily on her phone by the door so I decided to scare her. I crept up to her and screamed.
"Holy shit!!!!" Em screamed in fear.
"Hey girl." I waved smiling.
"Seriously Mar?" She looked
"Sorry it was a joke though. So have you talked to Alex?" I asked wiggling my eyebrows.
"No and don't do that. You look weird." I laughed.
"Whatever. You need to start getting together and talking or else you might end up watching him kissing other girls." I shook y head playfully.
"Oh would you shut up. Besides what about you and Jake? When are you planning on getting together?"
"What? What do you mean by that?"
"Oh come on. It is obvious that he likes you. When will you realize that?"
"Ok first of all, why would he like me? Second of all, you know I don't want to start dating again." The bell then rang so we headed inside. In the classroom everyone was talking to each other. I went to my seat and pulled out a book. As I started to read I saw a hand on my desk. I looked up from my book and saw Jake eyes filled with worry.
"Hey Mary. Are you ok?"
"Oh um yeah why?" I was confused.
"You're crying." He simply stated. I reached for my cheeks and there was indeed tears.
"Oh I didn't notice." I rubbed the back of my neck knowing why I was crying. When Emily brought up me dating it reminded me of my old boyfriend who had cheated on me. I hated thinking about it and tried to block it from my memory but for some reason I never forgot it.
"Can you tell me why?"
"Oh um I remembered something and yeah."
"Ok well are you ok?" He seemed really concerned.
"Yeah I am fine. See? No tears." I smiled a fake smile but I don't think he noticed.
"Ok." It looked like Jake was about to say something but people started filing in so he took his seat. I continued reading my book until the teacher started the lesson.
