Oracle

Chapter 2

I woke up to the feeling of water being slowly poured on my head. 'What happened? Where am I?' was all I could think. The last thing I remembered was me walking home and having a headache. I tried to sit up only to be pushed gently back down.

"I was wondering when you would wake up." I heard a familiar voice say in a teasing tone. Jake.

"And I was wondering who made me sleeping beauty. Was it you or another boy?" I teased back and smirked when he blushed.

"You fainted in the park. Why is what don't know. What were you doing?" Jake said embarrassed by what I had said.

"I don't know why I fainted. I was just walking home when my head started to hurt. Next thing I know I am here. How long was I out for?"

"I don't know I saw you leave and around 15 minutes later I left the building. About 10 minutes later I saw you on the ground. It took me an hour to get here since I didn't have a car and my phone was dead. So you were out for awhile."

"Wait do my parents know where I am!?" I panicked. If the didn't know where I was they were probably freaking out.

"Yes calm down. Your parents were the first people I notified when I got here. Your friends came next." Classic Jake I thought. "Oh and you can leave now. The doctor said once you wake up you could leave. He said I could leave earlier but I thought it be best I explain everything first so I stayed. Don't worry about payment because I already took care of that."

"Really? Thanks a ton I owe it to you. Especially for staying. I didn't think you would." That was a lie. I just wanted to tease him. It worked. He started blushing furiously.

"Yeah, anytime." He stammered.

"Ok well I better take my leave. Thanks and bye." I said as I stood up and walked out.

"Don't faint again!" He called out.

"No I was planning on doing that next week!" I called back walking away. Luckily I got home without fainting. I walked inside and saw my parents. "Hey mom, Jack." I said nonchalantly.

"Sweety! Oh God are you hurt are you ok tell me what happened!!" my mom panicked.

"Jeez mom! I thought Jake explained everything. All I did was faint because my head hurt. It's not like I broke a bone or anything. I am totally fine though I expected a little worry from this man that you married."

"Oh sorry." That was all he said. Ugh I wanted to slap him sometimes. He was no where near as close as a father of my real dad. He would have worried about me.

"Oh hush you two! I was worried sick at first. You didn't get home when you normally do and to have Jake call and say you were unconscious I panicked! I didn't want anything to happen to you."

"I know mom it's just you didn't have to freak out. I'm glad you worried about me." I kissed her cheek and walked upstairs.

When I got to my room I started on my homework. About 10 minutes later my head started to hurt again. "Ugh." I said as I walked to get a drink of water. It didn't help. I decided to get some advil down stairs but before I got to the door I noticed a sparkle of light. I turned around before noticing it was coming from my bracelet. I brought I closer to my face to inspect it but the light brightened imensly and I put my other hand up to shield my eyes. Once the light subsided I took my hand away from my eyes and looked in my floor length mirror and screamed.

I was wearing an all black leather suit with curved white metal trailing up my right leg. My feet were covered in cute black ankle boots with a very small heel. My hands were hidden in thick black gloves that let my hands moved easily in. However the thing that mostly made me scream was my hair. Instead of my gorgeous blond hair it was downright black with a streak of white running through it. As I looked at myself in the mirror I noticed white on my shoulder and when I got a closer look I gasped. There was a large O on my shoulder in white. Oracle. 'Oh God!' My mind screamed. How? How in the world was the legend true? Oracle was the most well known legend all over the world.

It was a story where a young girl found a strange creature. The creature was magical and was trying to find someone to hold the power it possessed. The power to read minds and control them. The creature thought the girl was fit for the job and gave her the power. The girl saved thousands of people with her power and defeated multiple villains. As a young girl I always wanted to be like Oracle but as I grew older I thought it to be a myth or a legend. Just a story that wasn't true. But here I was. As I began to wonder what I should do about my situation another beam of light struck and there floating in mid air was the creature that gave Oracle her power.

Hey I hope you all enjoyed this chapter. I must say this is my favorite story I have every written and it is a lot of fun to write. I am really trying to publish as fast as possible but I am having some difficulties. Any who I hope you guys like this story guys Bye!!
