Hearing a phone ring beside him, Zebediah frowned deeply.

The man looked to his left seeing a sleeping Paradise laying in a fetal position; before glancing at the digital clock behind her. It was 6:00 a.m. and instead of starting his morning routine like he would normally be doing, Zebediah laid catching as much sleep as he could for the long day ahead of him.

The moment he felt the pair's shared bed begin to shift beside his placement, followed by the sound of  a small moan emit from his 'wife', Zebediah answered his vibrating phone. He sat up on the edge of the mattress, pressing the device firmly to his right ear before speaking.

"Hello."

As soon as the single word left his mouth, he heard his senior speak on the other end. "My boy! How was it?" Glee dripped from his words as he spoke, and Zebediah sighed deeply, glancing back at a still Paradise.

Her hair was scattered about her face, mouth slightly gaped, and knees against her chest. Even without saying or doing a single thing, Paradise resembled the quintessence of an innocent being.

Peeling his orbs away, Zebediah zoned back into to his father, who waited patiently for his son to confide in him the events of his first night as a married man.

"It was uh-

He cut his words short, touching the curved bridge of his nose, while closing his eyes, momentarily.

"It was great."

Isaiah released a husky laugh as he clapped loudly at his son. "I knew you wouldn't disappoint me boy. Now your mother and I want some grand babies!"

Zebediah could hear his mother enter the room and his dad say something to her before they both erupted into a fit of  boisterous laughter.

"Ohhh my baby! When I see my daughter next, make sure she's fattened up." He could sense the smile on his mother's face, as he ran a hand down his face frustratingly.

Still, even with hours already spent in their situation; Zebediah could hardly comprehend the peculiar reality he had been subjected to. Yet he forced himself to tolerate the pair's situation, forcing ten words to the tip of his awaiting tongue.

"Okay ma, but she's waking up, I have to go." Zebediah announced when from his peripheral view, he witnessed Paradise stirring lightly between their sheets; about to wake.

"Okay I love you." Zahra blew kisses through the phone's screen and Zebediah smiled small, ending the call.

"Umm—good mawnin."

Rotating his neck; Zeb made eye contact with Paradise. Her legs had by then, stretched themselves out entirely to decorate the bed's white sheets as she rested her right hand beside her and the left in her voluminous hair.

She had just awoken from their nine hour rest, yet she still managed to look effortlessly beautiful. Zebediah nodded his head towards her before glancing back at his phone. He could feel her light weight evacuate their large bed; and he craned his neck slightly, following her every move around the room with merely the flickers of his orbs.
