The room's walls were painted a creamy off-white, accented with maroon trim and a gentle yellowy lighting that made the place look comfortable and easy. The bed was unmade, the covers tousled and the pillows in odd places. Chaeyoung sat in the center of the room, cross legged and playing around with her guitar. It was fairly early in the morning, an hour or so before Chaeyoung needed to leave for her job at YW Entertainment.

She was working on a song she'd began to compose a while ago. It was loosely based after what YWE stood for. Nayeon had told Chaeyoung about it many times. She had wanted a company run by young people, by fans, people who truly cared about the music and the people, not just the money. Thus, she and Jeongyeon decided to name the company YWE, for Young & Wild Entertainment.

But Chaeyoung just couldn't get herself to concentrate enough to make any progress on the song. It had been a while since that rainy, sorrowful day, but today was the day that the foreign branches were coming back. They were very small, only an artist or two each and a small handful a staff per location. Chaeyoung had helped start to organize mass trainee auditions, but evidently they were being shut down before they even could begin. YWE had taken an aggressive and ambitious step when they set up the foreign branch plan, and now they were paying.

Though she had no reason to be, Chaeyoung felt unusually nervous. Something within her felt as if she was hours away from something important. And not important in regards to the company, but important to Chaeyoung's personal life.

"This is stupid," she muttered to herself, slumping over. She carefully set the precious acoustic guitar in it's case, and stood up, stretching herself out in all her petite glory. But despite her small, limber size, Chaeyoung was pretty strong due to her side hobby of running and dancing. She wouldn't say that she was particularly great at either, but it was all just for fun, as Chaeyoung constantly reminded herself. It's just a hobby, nothing to worry about.

Chaeyoung proceeded to spend the rest of her freetime doing laundry and other small chores, singing softly to herself to try and help her forget the fact that the foreign branches would be arriving back to the main headquarters in less than an hour.

All too soon, it was time to go. Chaeyoung sighed, exiting her small, thankfully affordable and familiar apartment. The distance from her residence and the YW building was only a few blocks away, so Chaeyoung walked to save money. It was unpleasant in the colder months, and Chaeyoung often forgot to bring an umbrella when it was forecasted to rain-- thankfully, there were umbrellas out to lend to employees and trainees. It was important to keep people in good health, and that was reflected in the resources offered at YW.

Chaeyoung was right on time, which was unusual. She wasn't very good with predicting time of routes, and always seemed to be awkwardly early or slightly late. As usual, she greeted her fellow coworkers and trainees scattered about, but this time there were a lot more people than normal. Probably preparing for the others to arrive, Chaeyoung knew, but it was still weird. They were just another part of the company, so she didn't see the need for so much fuss. Or maybe that was Chaeyoung just trying to reassure herself.

Nothing out of the ordinary, she told herself, though she found herself nervously straightening everything on the reception desk. Of course, Chaeyoung was wrong about that.

"They're here!" someone said in excitement. Chaeyoung's head snapped up to the door. "Both branches." Chaeyoung knew that they'd specifically met up at the airport to travel the drive back together. It was to show the unity and family bond of YW, through their differences, but really, it just saved a little more money and made the press happy.

Jeongyeon, Nayeon's former girlfriend and co-founder of the company, led the small group. She smiled brightly upon entering, her mid-length brown hair beautiful as always. Chaeyoung didn't miss the slight change in expression when her gaze swept across Nayeon.

"Hello everyone," began Jeongyeon in fluent Korean as the group fanned out behind her. Chaeyoung kept her eyes down. "While we're here in uncertain circumstances, this can, and will, benefit our company's image of unity and help us learn from one another. Our performers and models not fluent in Korean can polish their skills here, and those that only speak Korean can learn the ropes of our other business languages. We hope everyone treats each other well and that this experiment will reap us success. Do not be afraid to form friendships or ask for help, of course." Jeongyeon glanced sideways at a girl to her right. Chaeyoung, who had been intently watching Jeongyeon, turned her gaze to the other performers.

To Jeongyeon's right stood a girl with black hair and bangs. She was very attractive, and very limber and strong. Chaeyoung immediately blushed as the girl's eyes turned towards her. Normally, Chaeyoung was fairly bold when it came to beautiful girls, but she just had an aura about her that made Chaeyoung feel even smaller than she normally did.

Before she could look away, the girl approached her. "Hello," she said through an accent.

Chaeyoung smiled shyly, recognizing her. "Hi," she answered. "I'm Son Chaeyoung, an employee here." Usually, Chaeyoung saw little shame in being a mere secretary (besides the story behind why), but next to the dancer she felt useless and unaccomplished.

Chaeyoung watched as the girl struggled for a moment, clearly trying to remember how to respond. The black haired girl sighed in exasperation.

"It's hard," Chaeyoung said with a smile. The black haired girl nodded, evidently understanding that.

"Yes," she agreed. "I am--"

"--Hirai Momo?" finished Chaeyoung with a small smile. The girl grinned, nodding in confirmation. "Nice to meet you."

"You too," responded Momo. Another girl-- one Chaeyoung didn't recognize as an idol, so she was probably just a trainee-- tapped Momo's shoulder, asking a question in rapid Japanese. Momo shot Chaeyoung a ridiculously attractive look of apology, allowing herself to be lead away by the other girl.

Chaeyoung turned around, deciding to head back to her desk and let things clear out, when she felt her breath catch in her chest after finding herself face to face with someone unfamiliar. Standing in front of her was the most beautiful girl Chaeyoung had ever seen.

"Hello," Chaeyoung blurted out.

a/n: i've decided to have a kpop/twice related question every chapter! obviously you don't need to answer them, but it would be fun ^-^  this chapter's is: what is your favorite rap part from a member of twice? mine would be chaeyoung's rap during jyp nation's rap performance a few months ago. i know some people didn't like the autotune, but as blackjack and a once, i loved it!
