Chaeyoung exhaled loudly as she hung up, burying her face in her hands. She didn't mind her job as secretary-- it was a boring title, a plain job, and mediocre paycheck, but at least she was around musicians and friends. But sometimes, it could be downright painful. The phone calls were especially bad, since Chaeyoung could get worked up about some of the more important ones. She'd tried to get in touch with a photographer they'd used for Jimin's last comeback, the one that had resulted in a win. Unfortunately, she wasn't having great luck finding a large enough opening before they needed the concept photos for the third single. They'd had the photos done for the first two singles before they even released the first single, but hadn't been able to fit the last one into their session.

What about the third music video shooting? Chaeyoung thought with a start. She thought she remember Nayeon mentioning it a while ago, but had it happened? The second one wasn't done, she knew that. So it wouldn't make sense to put it in the middle, she decided, though slightly uneasily.

She sighed, looking back at the list of photographers that had been emailed to her. Chaeyoung still had five more to go through-- hopefully she'd be able to book a slot that fit comfortably into Jihyo's schedule.

"Chae!" whispered shouted a voice.

Chaeyoung raised her head from the computer, head turning in the direction of the voice, confused.

"Nayeon?" she said in surprise as she noticed the grinning girl slip through the door to the staircase upstairs. "Shouldn't you be swamped in work and meetings right now?"

"Yeah, but I got bored," she said bluntly. "There isn't a lot for me to do now. I just have my regular managing duties or whatever, but it's pretty useless considering the trainees have their dance, rap and vocal coaches to help them right now."

"And there isn't any other jobs right now?" Chaeyoung said with surprise.

Nayeon shrugged, taking a seat on the small cleared space on the back of her desk . "Probably, but no one has let me do anything. They're all kinda annoyed at Jeongyeon, Minju and I. Dahyun texted you about that, right?"

Chaeyoung nodded, getting excited. "I swear, the moment you and Jeongyeon are alone in the same room, havoc ensures! One job, you had one job. And now you've managed to change the release date of an important song, and recruit two trainees when we needed one!"

Nayeon laughed. "You make me sound sound cooler than I am. We were just making smarter decisions than the rest of the team combined, though they agreed to follow the newly suggested schedule just a couple minutes ago.. Now we have fifteen days to finish this song instead of just eight. Of course, it would have been okay in the end, since the third single is pretty much done, so we could've just switched them in an emergency.

"Wait, seriously?" Chaeyoung said with surprise. "So you've filmed the music video and everything?"

"Yeah," Nayeon said absentmindedly. "It's been in the making for a while. It was produced ages ago, but we waited to release it as a summer or autumn song, since it's got a very bright and confident vibe."

"Oh," mouthed Chaeyoung. "Then why wasn't it second or something?"

Nayeon hesitated, but answer her anyways. "Well, we wanted to try and ride off her OST success just a little, so a slower, more emotional song was in order. Jihyo had some lyric and composing ideas, too, so we figured we could whip something up quickly. But we stretched ourselves too thin. It's easy to forget how few employees we actually have."

"But why did the ballad have to be second?" persisted Chaeyoung.

"It isn't really a ballad, just sort of," Nayeon said offhandedly. "And we wanted to end her promotions with a bang, so a more energetic song needed to be released."
