"I can't believe it."
"It was going to happen eventually."
"Nothing's guaranteed, Irwin."
"With her talent? It would've."
"Don't jinx it, boy," sighed Annie, rolling her eyes at her husband's unfounded confidence. "Nothing is ever for certain."
The American producer shrugged. "This is why I came back here. To make music, Annie. I knew we'd succeed."
"You'd succeed," pointed out Annie with a wry smile. "You're the one with the passion for music and your heritage. I'm just a white girl who likes fashion and is slow with languages."
Irwin rolled his eyes. "Oh, be quiet. You need more confidence, Ann. Besides, your taste in fashion is bomb."
"Whatever," laughed Annie. "But we were going to discuss Jihyo."
"Yeah, yeah, yeah," Irwin waved it off. "When is everyone else supposed to show, anyways?"
As though on cue, the door to the meeting room creaked open, and someone spoke before they opened it completely. "I hear my language," declared a familiar voice. "Definitely the Young couple."
As Irwin would've guessed, Sunny poked her head in. "A-ha! I was right."
Annie smiled. "Of course you were."
"And what was with calling English your language?" inquired Irwin teasingly. "It's not exactly uncommon, even over here."
"Oh, be quiet," grumbled Sunny.
But before the two could bicker any more, the door opened again, the remaining four entered the room-- Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Minju, and Sunghyun. And behind them, the artist in question, Jihyo. They all grabbed a chair at the meeting table.
"This is great," Nayeon said with a grin. "I guess we were right when we pushed back the date, eh? Everything's going so great." The four people not in on the date switch rolled their eyes as Minju smiled guiltily and Nayeon laughed.
Jihyo smiled brightly. "Yeah. The timing must have been perfect."
"Or you just keep putting one hell of a show on," Irwin told her proudly.
Annie elbowed him, a crease in her brow as she furiously whispered, "Language!"
"It's so crazy, so fantastic..." Sunny murmured. "Already, seven million views, and it's only been a few days. I can't believe it, really."
"I've been spending time online, looking to see how international fans have been reacting as well," Irwin commented casually. "They're starting to pay more notice to her now, and to Jimin and Momo as well."
Annie smiled. "Yes. And Tzuyu and Mina were good, too."
Nayeon nodded. "Definitely. Chaeyoung said she's been contacted to have Tzuyu model more, due to her feature gaining a bit of attention towards her modeling."
Through all of this, Jihyo stayed quiet, a small, shocked smile on her face. Nayeon, who'd chosen to sit by her purposefully, leaned over towards Jihyo. "Are you surprised?" she asked quietly.
"About what?" mumbled Jihyo in response.
Nayeon shrugged. "That your song has already opened so many opportunities for our company. You've had more success with this single in a few days than your other three releases combined. And people are looking at our company more, so Momo and Jamie are being noticed more. Not only that, but Tzuyu might potentially gain modeling opportunities and Mina, predebut fans."
