Silenced,
Jaw bound with self control.
"You mustn't." The voices whisper.
"You'll ruin everything."
But the words are creeping up on me,
Tearing me apart from inside out.
Screaming to be heard
From the cage of my mind.
I bite my tongue, desperate;
Fighting off the words that will seal my fate,
Attempting to soothe the pain
That I've been pushing down.
No matter what,
I must remain
Silent.They cannot know what goes on in my head.
