Unmistakable,
That feeling I haven't felt,
Haven't known how to feel
For months on end.
Maybe longer.Through a haze of smoke,
And words that were never even said
Out loud...
It happened,
A quick catching breath, a glance,
A smile.
Butterflies...It went away as soon as it arrived,
Unexpected,
A shock to the system.
I didn't even know,
Never believed, wholeheartedly,
I'd be able to feel that again. It was a huge surprise to find out,
That even after everything,
I still have the ability to smile.I didn't know a moment so tiny,
So fleeting,
Would give me hope.
I can feel happy.
Even if it's just for a second.I'm still capable
Of happiness.I didn't know that part of me was still left.
