Whispers,
The things you used to say
Curling through my brain like smoke.
Your voice rings in my ears to this day,
Words lingering,
Like scars on my skin.
The memories we shared
Freezing my blood,
And turning my heart
To stone.
I shouldn't have believed what you said.
The beautiful lies,
The whispers in my ear,
Knocking down the walls I had fought so hard to build.I can never trust you again.
