Alex and The Unwanteds

Part 8

Alex walked over to the spear and picked it up and walked below decks. Their he saw Sky playing with the dagger he gave her. She looked up seeing him. He smiled at her and she returned the smile.

Alex walked towards her and sat down next to her as they sat down in comfortable silence. She leaned her against his shoulder. Alex fought the urge to smile.

"What's going up their? Someone told me that somebody told you to go in the water." Sky said looking at her dagger.

"You mean Sean, he asked me to look at the thing under the volcano so I swam over their and i found somebody so i brought him over here. Kinda had to hurt him in the process though." Alex said.

She turned her head towards him and Alex turned his head to look at her. He now really had the urge to kiss her. Her eyes seemed to look into his soul.

"How so?" She asked.

"I kinda threw a spear through his legs which made him able to walk. For now." Alex responded.

She looked at him and sighed and then just then, Sean walked down and looked at them and said "Am i interrupting something."

Both blushing a little, they both got up saying no.

"Well i could use your help. This guy won't talk so we might need help." Sean said.

Alex looked around for a knife. He found one in a hammock and walked out with it. Sean and Sky looked at each other warily and followed quickly after him.

Alex found him in a room tied down on a chair. Alex walked towards him and kicked him backwards sending him clattering down the floor. He shouted some words for his arms and hands ached.

Alex then leaped onto his chest and pulled the knife onto his neck and smiled as the guy looked terrified. Sky and Sean stood by watching the it play out.

Alex then said "Now your going to answer all the questions he asks and if you don't, you'll be lucky to have all your fingers still on your hands."

The man looked at the two behind Alex and then a smiled broke into his lips.

"You look just like this women. Same hair same style and everything. We got her back around four years ago. She always had these two earrings on just like yours." He said breaking into a fit of laughter. Alex looked at Sky and knew that the man was talking about Sky probably knew.

She had an expression of a bit of relief and was incredibly worried of what might they be doing.

Alex stabbed the knife the man's shoulder and punched him in the face making a crack, breaking his nose. The man screamed out loud. He then started to laugh out loud.

Alex then punched him in the side of the head making him unconscious. He then pulled out the knife and handed to Sean and said to Sean "I think his insane. He won't be any of use. We should keep him for now. Also lets talk a bit later."

Sean nodded and open the door. Alex put a hand over Sky's shoulder and they walked out of the room and went below decks. They went to the last level and their he hugged her. She then began to cry.

Alex slid down the wall and held her tight as she cried into his arms. Alex put his chin on her head and held her. They stayed in that position for a about an hour.

Finally she lifted her head up and smiled which broke his heart. He knew that the pain her heart was immense so he had to do whatever he could to help her.

"I promise I am going to anything in my power to help you get the person that is stuck down their." Alex said as he wiped a tear with his thumb.

Alex without even realizing put his his forward and kissed her. Alex realizing what he have done was about to pull back when Sky started to kiss back. Alex slipped his tongue in and gently put Sky on the floor.

Alex right hand went under her shirt and touched her soft skin. It felt smooth against his rough but gentle hands. Sky's hand went wild on Alex's hair messing it up.

Alex then broke the kiss and they both breathed heavily looking at each others eyes. Alex then started to speak but Sky moved up and kissed him. This time is was more gentle and more calm.

"I don't think this is the best place to do this." Sky said. Alex looked at the stairs. They could have been walked in on any minute. Alex nodded and got up.

"Feeling better?" Alex asked holding out a hand for her which she gladly accepted.

"Yes thank you." She responded. They held each other's hand for a few moments.

"If this is not a touchy subject, who are we going to save?" Alex said.

After a few minutes of waiting Sky finally said, "My mother." Alex nodded and smiled at her insuring her that everything was going to be all.

Then out of nowhere, this ship began to shake. Alex eyes grew wide as he knew what was happening. The island was sinking.

"We should go up." Alex said as he held something so they wouldn't fall. Sky nodded and they both walked fast as they could to the deck. Once above they saw the island sinking. Alex looked over the edge and saw the small city go inside the earth.

Alex then noticed something that was behind the island. They were about thirty ships just like theirs just floating. Everyone had their eyes on the ship seeing if the ships would charge at them. After a couple of minutes of nothing happening, Alex saw Sean grab a small telescope thing. Alex walked over to him and asked, "Do you see anybody on the ships?"

After a while of scanning the ships, Sean shook his head. "They seem to be the pirates ships that live in the city."

"I see." said Sean he straightened and sighed.

"Also I wanted to talk in private about something." Alex said asking.

"Sure." Sean said. They walked into a room where the pirate was sleeping in the chair. Alex watching the pirate said, "The person who the pirate was talking about seems to be Sky's mother."

Sean stood their and said "So what. We need to save my younger sister." Alex raised his eyebrows and Sean faked the cough "And the other two."

Alex said, "If you are really in a hurry then I would stay and use one of the ships if their empty. I also want your permission to go and check out the boats."

Sean thought of it for a while. He looked down and thought really hard. "You could go explore the ships but I am going to need to think a bit for you to save her."

Alex walked to the door and looked back with his eyes narrowed "I'm saying this for whatever reason but i'm sure you already know what it feels like to have your family member taken away from you. Also if you don't have a response when i get back, I'll go and save her mother with Sky. "

Alex closed the door and took in a deep breath and sighed. He then found Sky below decks moving a box and went over to Sky and smiled to her.

"Ima go over to the boats and see what's happening or to see if there's anybody. I'll be back in a bit." Alex said.

"Alright be safe." She said and smiled. Alex walked over to a corner where he saw his spear and grabbed it. He walked above decks and jumped into the water. He stayed in the water for a couple of seconds to get used to the cold water. After that he swam towards the ships. Once there he climbed up on the sides of the ships.

He looked everywhere and found that some of the ships were empty and their were some ships with some back up supplies if the ship was ever in need of repairing.

It seemed like the ships were also new. After a while Alex sat on the deck of one of the ships and sighed. The pain on his back was starting to increase again. Alex bit his lip. He didn't know what to do.
