Alex and The Unwanteds

Part 19

A arrow immediately appeared and he let go of the arrow. It flew perfectly to a nearby tree. A small brown fairy with the look of the tree stumbled away from the tree he shot and Alex immediately apologized and went his way.

His bow disappeared and he walked towards the camp. He saw Percy on a bench thinking. Alex headed over to him and sat next to him.

Percy looked at Alex and said, "How did you do it?"

"Do what?" Alex asked.

"Break Luke's or Kronos time power. I'm pretty sure no one can do that."

Alex looked at him and shrugged, "I was in the heat of the moment. Also what's with the angered face?"

Percy looked at the ground and said, "I have a friend who told me that Olympus, which where all the Gods and Goddesses, or most of them live, would be destroyed by kronoses forces. Thing is, Nobody really believes me cause i said that we had to leave and go to Olympus to protect them."

"Then why don't they fight them?" Alex asked.

"God's can't fight monsters. We'll they can, but they pretty restricted. They can fight a few monsters. Right now they are fighting a giant beast. The only god that is at Olympus would be Hestia for she doesn't really fight. But she could be fighting the monster as well for she is quite powerful." Percy responded.

Alex nodded. "Then if nobody will go and help the gods, then we must."

Percy sighed and watched as the hunters passed by. He gave a moment to think and looked at Alex. His face was filled with worry and said, "I must go and help my mother out of New York. This battle could be big. Two versus millions of monsters plus some titans with almost equal power to the one you faced before. We could be able to beat Kronos but we would most likely fail."

Alex got up and looked at Percy and took out a hand. Percy took it and he said, "If were going to get their, we are going to have to slip out without being noticed."

Alex responded saying, "Follow me."

"Lemme just get some things." Percy said. Alex sat back down and waited as Percy went to go get something.

Percy later came back with a backpack with some medical supplies. It also had some spare extra clothing.

Percy followed Alex into the forest. Alex led him to the spot where he met Hestia and took out his wings.

Percy was surprised to see the wings. Alex looked at him weirdly and asked, "First time?"

He nodded and Alex sighed. "Were gonna fly to the place. You tell me where to go."

Alex hugged Percy's back and they flew into the air. They flew for about thirty minutes before they saw the place. It was loud. Real loud. Alex saw cars that looked like the jeeps from Artemia but with different designs.

Alex was a bit surprised to see buildings so tall. Alex flew to the direction to a small building with some floors. A lot of people walked on the, none of them noticing them.

Alex landed gently on the roof and they climbed down on a ladder which led behind the house. Alex followed Percy inside and they walked up a few stairs.

Alex stopped and waited for Percy to knock and go in to greet his relatives. Alex waited on the side of the door and the door opened and heard a nice and womengly voice.

Alex looked away for his heart ached a bit. He leaned on the wall and waited for Percy to go in and wait for a few hours so Percy could say goodbye and tell them what's going on.

He heard the door close and Alex slid down the wall. He put his head against the wall and made a small dragon fly around before disappearing and reappearing.

It landed on Alex's knee and then another fire dragon appeared. They tried roaring but small flames appeared. Then they flew at each other and were about to collide to each other he saw them tackle each other and they both fell onto the carpet.

The blew fire at each other, not harming the carpet. Alex closed his eyes and put his head against the wall. He heard laughter inside and gripped his shirt where his heart was. He really was pretty unlucky. He pretty much lost everyone important to him. He even lost his home.

Alex watched as the two dragons fought each other. Eventually one ate the other and it grew bigger. I raised its head and shot out sparks of fire before disappearing. Alex then closed his eyes and feel half asleep.

Alex woke up for he heard step taken towards him and quickly woke up standing with a dagger. He sighed as he saw it was Percy with a women who looked like him.

"Why didn't you come in with Percy?" she asked. Alex then figured out it was Percy's mother.

"You guys needed your family time." Alex said making the weapons disappear. "You should leave as soon as possible. I'll wait outside for Percy."

Alex walked past Percy but was handed a backpack and he took it with a nod. He walked out of the door they came back from before and waited for a few minutes. Alex looked through the pack and saw some food and spare clothing. He saw a pack of some golden jelly thing and then zipped up the back pack.

Alex then looked back to see Percy coming out. He looked a bit troubled and that then he remembered Hestia's words saying to help others when their feeling down.

"We can do this. We both pretty powerful seeing you could control water and all and me, i could create weapons. Were like a two man army." Alex said.

Percy nodded his head and said, "Alright. Let's do this."

Alex flew them to the tallest building which was so high up that the clouds covered part of it.

Alex landed in a alleyway and they soon walked out and into the building. Percy told Alex to go and sit on the couches which Alex did.

He waited patiently as the man who was at the front desk then gave Percy a card and told him something.

Alex then later watched as Percy come back and said, "We can stay for the night. We can have turns taking turns sleeping or we could just both sleep and wake up if anything happens."

Alex thought about it and said, "I think taking turns is better. We can swit-" Boom.

A loud explosion was heard and Alex and Percy ran outside with weapons drawn. They looked through the doors, and saw that people were running away from where a loud sound was heard. A few minutes later, everyone was gone.

Alex watched as a bird slowed down a flew really slowly. Alex pointed this out and Percy said, "His here. We most likely will be fighting his army of monsters before fighting him, himself."

Alex nodded and pulled back three arrows. They took a step out and immediately were greeted by a rain of arrows.

They ran back inside and arrows crashed in through the window. Alex then ran out and saw them on top of small stores and on the main street.

Alex shot the monsters on the right and quickly shot the guys on the left. He made a long bow and then started to shoot two arrows at the same time.

Each time a monster was taken down, a new one was replaced as if nothing happened. Alex then decided to use a different type of arrow with some explosives.

He shot one into the crowd and a bunch of monster flew into the sky. Alex then began to spam arrows before another volley of arrows rained down on him.

He hid inside panting. His finger was starting to bleed but he didn't care. Alex and Percy peaked and saw them stop.
